Isaiah Washington insists he was ousted from "Grey's Anatomy" in 2007 over false accusations fueled by an allegedly racist ABC exec ... and he says Shonda Rhimes knows it too, and has his back. The actor tells us Shonda -- creator and exec producer of 'Grey's' -- has "nothing good to say" about ABC or its exec VP, Howard Davine. He also says Shonda believes Davine should be investigated for his "racist, biased behavior." What Isaiah's suggesting is pretty explosive. First, that the stories about him making homophobic comments on the 'Grey's' set were lies to get him blackballed in Hollywood. Second, Shonda, the queen of TGIT, taking a stand against ABC says a lot. She's the network's biggest content creator, and if she's calling out one of its execs ... y'know she's pissed. Isaiah says a whistleblower tipped him off to Davine's alleged actions, and now he's hoping the Time's Up movement or others get on board with his fight. We've reached out to Shonda's office several times, but so far no word back.

Before hanging out on a sex boat with a lion, Christopher Eccleston played the eponymous Doctor on Doctor Who for all of one season. But what a season! By 2005, the British science-fiction show had been off the air for 16 years (not including the 1996 made-for-television movie), but under the guidance of Russell T. Davies and with strong performances from Eccleston, whose Ninth Doctor was portrayed as more intellectual than his predecessors, and companion Billie Piper, the new Doctor Who was an immediate hit. So, it came as quite the surprise when the actor left after only 13 episodes. Eccleston has remained mostly silent on his exit (other than distancing himself from a statement the BBC — whom he claimed “blacklisted” him — released in his name), but the actor finally opened up in an interview with the Radio Times. “My relationship with my three immediate superiors – the showrunner, the producer, and co-producer – broke down irreparably during the first block of filming and it never recovered,” he said. “They lost trust in me, and I lost faith and trust and belief in them.” Eccleston explained that his anger “came from my own insecurity. They employed somebody who was not a natural light comedian. [Billie Piper], who we know was and is brilliant, was very, very nervous and very, very inexperienced. You had that, and then you had me. Very, very experienced, possibly the most experienced on it, but out of my comfort zone.”As for why he’s only speaking up now, 13 years after departing, Eccleston revealed a promise he made to Davies. “When I left, I gave my word to Russell T. Davies that I wouldn’t do anything to damage the show,” he said. “But they did things to damage me. I didn’t criticize anybody.” Thankfully, things worked out: Doctor Who found another A+ Time Lord in David Tennant, and Eccleston had a starring role in one of the best dramas of the decade.

No one, outside of Netflix CCO Ted Sarandos and maybe the company janitor who’s also an undercover hacker knows how popular Stranger Things is, outside of “very.” The company is that guarded about its ratings. So, it’s always a little surprising when specific numbers are attached to any Netflix series, especially the streaming service’s (presumably) biggest hit. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Stranger Things cast is getting a massive pay bump in season three, with the young cast earning 12 times their previous salaries.
According to sources, the main actors are divided into different pay tiers. Winona Ryder (Joyce) and David Harbour (Jim Hopper) make up the “A tier” and are making up to $350,000 an episode. The “B tier” consists of the young stars — Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas) and Noah Schnapp (Will) — who are each collecting $250,000 per episode. Meanwhile, the actors in the “C tier” — onscreen teenagers Natalia Dyer (Nancy), Charlie Heaton (Jonathan) and Joe Keery (Steve) — are each pocketing roughly $150,000 an episode. (Via)
In previous seasons, Ryder and Harbour were paid $100,000 and $80,000 an episode, respectively, while the kids earned somewhere in the low $20,000s. For comparison’s sake: five stars on Game of Thrones — Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage, Kit Harington, Lena Headey, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau — make $500,000 per episode. That’s more than Stranger Things‘ “A tier” cast, but Thrones has fewer episodes per season; season seven was seven episodes long, compared to nine for season two of Stranger Things. Also, if you’re wondering why breakout Millie Bobbie Brown isn’t listed in the “A” or “B” tier, that’s because “her camp has been tight-lipped throughout the dealmaking process.” Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at her contract negotiations.

NEWS - Da "Sex and the City" alla Casa Bianca?

David Tennant, former star of Doctor Who and your dreams about being married to Doctor Who, has signed on to the new HBO series Camping from Girls duo Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner. The actor is set to play Walt, the husband of co-star Jennifer Garner’s Kathryn. The story revolves around Walt’s birthday camping trip, where tension builds, as it often does when people have to sleep outside. Walt’s character is said to be obedient and loving, but also, gasp (!) secretly unhappy. Could it be the tent? The mosquitos? The campfire smoke that seems to be always headed right for your face? The show, based on a 2016 Sky Media series written and directed by Julia Davis, follows a weekend of “tested marriages and woman-on-woman crime” which likely describes any camping trip David Tennant gets invited on.

L'EDICOLA DI LOU - Stralci, cover e commenti sui telefilm dai media italiani e stranieri

Firmato: Ellen Pompeo. Con...Style
Ellen Pompeo is on a special subscribed cover for InStyle‘s April 2018 issue!
Here’s what the Grey’s Anatomy star had to share:
On negotiating her $575,000/episode rate:“In all negotiations they don’t immediately give in, and this is also quite a big cast, so they have everybody to deal with, but eventually we got what we wanted. I would say the only time you ever have a good negotiating position is if you’re completely willing to walk away. That’s the only real strength you have. And I never really was there until this last round. I asked for everything on Grey’s because I saw a piece of paper that told me it had generated $3 billion for Disney. That information changed the game for me: knowing my numbers and having information as to what my actual worth was. Over the years lots of characters have come and gone, lots of writers have come and gone. The one thing that’s remained on the show is me, so that’s how I arrived at my confidence.”
On communicating with people above you in a professional hierarchy: “I lead with kissing ass… you always want to start with the positive.”
On sticking to what she knows: “…I’ve been on Grey’s Anatomy forever, and I don’t chase relevancy or trophies. A lot of girls would rather have the attention, and then they realize in their 40s that they have no money to feed their kids and they’re fucked…I made the choice to be OK with no awards and no attention and make it just about going to work and punching the clock. Which I think is healthier for the ego down the line.”

The minds behind Netflix’s smash hit Stranger Things have acknowledged and spoke out about allegations of verbal abuse on set, noting that they are deeply upset by the claims. The statement comes days after Stranger Things grip Peyton Brown posted about allegations from the set of Stranger Things and her decision not to return for season three. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix found no wrongdoing by Matt and Ross Duffer or anybody else on set, and the pair seemed to indicate that treating everybody fairly is their main concern:
“We are deeply upset to learn that someone felt uncomfortable on our set. Due to the high-stress nature of production, tempers occasionally get frayed, and for that, we apologize. However, we think it is important not to mischaracterize our set, where we believe strongly in treating everyone fairly regardless of gender, orientation, race, religion, or anything else. We remain totally committed to providing a safe and collaborative working environment for everyone on our productions.”
Brown’s initial post was deleted after comments began to flow in with details separate from her own personal accounts, including one reprinted by Variety that indicated yelling, insults, and threats by the duo with people “fired or forced to quit because of them.” Brown deleted the post and reposted without the comments:
I guess there’s no better day than #nationalwomensday to say #timesup and announce that I will not be a part of the filming of Season 3 of Stranger Things. Why, you ask? Because I stand with my sisters. I personally witnessed two men in high positions of power on that set seek out and verbally abuse multiple women. I promised myself that if I were ever in a situation to say something that I would. I have 11.5 thousand followers who can hear me say this, TIME IS UP. Women in the film industry are POWERFUL. We will rise and we will scream from mountain tops in support of each other and I will not contribute my time, efforts, and talent to such abusive people. There is too much going on in this world to be regressive. There are too many amazing and highly respected men in respective positions of power that I have had the utmost pleasure of working beside.

Season 8 of The Walking Dead has gone by the motto of “All Out War,” but off-screen, another type of battle is clearly still in full swing, as the contractual fate of star Lauren Cohan remains unresolved. A battle that has grown to now involve another cast member and even the actress herself, who has portrayed Maggie Rhee on the AMC zombie apocalypse blockbuster since Season 2. Earlier this week, fellow TWD regular Khary Payton became seemingly the first of Cohan’s co-stars to speak out for the actress when he bluntly posted “pay the woman” on his Instagram account. A pivotal figure on the series based on Robert Kirkman’s comics, the CAA-represented Cohan has been fighting for a pay increase in her new TWD contract with AMC, and going forward into its ninth season and beyond. As talks hit an impasse, the much-sought-out actress signed on in February as the female lead opposite Scott Foley in Whiskey Cavalier, ABC’s hourlong action-dramedy pilot from Bill Lawrence, Dave Hemingson and Warner Bros. TV. Now ex-showrunner and TWD franchise Chief Content Officer Scott M. Gimple told Deadline late last month that “these sorts of negotiations do happen all the time in television and we’re working on it.” How despite the EP’s insistence that “we’re all talking, so stay tuned,” nothing of substance has been achieved, we hear. Which is perhaps why the man who plays Kingdom leader King Ezekiel wasn’t the only one to make a move on the matter this week. After long having been announced as one of the TWD marquee names at London’s Walker Stalker Con this weekend, Cohan suddenly dropped out of the fanfest on March 8 due to a filming schedule change. That alteration was for the Whiskey Cavalier pilot, which is in production as TWD gears up for a Season 9 that Cohan may or may not substantially be a part of at this point. Cohan was supposed to join TWD co-stars current and past like Payton, Andrew Lincoln, Danai Gurira, Norman Reedus, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, the now-departed Chandler Riggs, Star Trek Discovery lead Sonequa Martin-Green and many more at the March 10-11 UK event. Cohan’s Maggie is still a big part of The Walking Dead this season and is a big part of Sunday’s “Dead Or Alive Or” episode. An episode that faces the ABC launch of the new American Idol and Fox’s deft O.J. Simpson: The Lost Confession? counter programming at 9 PM ET. BTW – AMC had no response to Payton’s Instagram post of last week. The cabler has nothing to do with the UK confab. Also, Andrew Lincoln was another no-show at Walker Stalker Con it seems as well.

GOSSIP - Disperata davvero!
Teri Hatcher is putting an end to rumors that she’s broke, homeless, and living out of her van. After a magazine published a story claiming the 53-year-old former Desperate Housewives star was homeless, Teri sat down with KTLA to call the article completely false and untrue. “On the cover yesterday [Star magazine has] an article that says exactly that — it’s totally absurd — that I am broke and homeless and living out of my van,” Teri says. “It’s categorically false. I am not broke. I have done very well investing my money. I am not homeless and I am not living out of my van.” Teri went on to say that the paparazzi photos taken of her by her van were from when she was filming her YouTube series Van Therapy in Los Angeles. “They said they were going to run this story about me being broke, and I think they even used the word suicidal and homeless and whatever. And my lawyer and my publicist said, ‘Categorically not true, you can’t print that, she’s doing a YouTube show, that’s her van, she has many homes in many states all over the country. There’s nothing about this that’s true,’ ” Teri says. “And then they went and ran it anyway. And that is even more egregious that it was so purposefully hurtful.”

Ellen Pompeo is firing back at rumors and reports suggesting that her Grey’s Anatomy co-stars’ surprising exits are due to her salary increase. The 48-year-old star took to Twitter on Thursday (March 8) to respond to the “unfortunate” claims that her $20 million salary is to blame for Sarah Drew and Jessica Capshaw exiting the hit medical drama after season 14.
“Its unfortunate that @DEADLINE chooses to try to pit women against eachother on #InternationalWomensDay #shameonyounotme,” Ellen first tweeted. Back in January, Ellen revealed how much she makes per Grey‘s episode while also sharing that she signed another two-year deal with the show.
“I’m a big girl @DEADLINE can take shots at me if they want but to the fans please don’t fall into that trap. This is above my pay grade,” Ellen also wrote.
