Some Twitter aren’t happy that some Glee stars have chosen to keep quiet as the search remains for Naya Rivera, who went missing last week after a lake trip in California.

Now, Amber Riley, Kevin McHale, and more have spoken out about why they chose to be silent while others have sent prayers and other comments about Naya.

“I haven’t seen not one of the GLEE CAST MEMBERS POST ABT NAYA EXCEPT FOR @HeatherMorrisTV AND @dotmariejones y’all a need to do better @LeaMichele @JennaUshkowitz @chriscolfer,” one Twitter user wrote, sparking the conversation of why they didn’t. Amber was one of the first to clap back at her own reason – because it’s not about her. It’s about Naya. “Show some respect. All our energy is going toward helping find Naya and praying for her safe return and for her family. No one owes anyone online a performance of grief,” she wrote. “This is very real and devastating. Focus on Naya and her family. Not us. We don’t matter right now.”

Fans also came to Chris Colfer‘s defense, who hadn’t posted anything about Naya’s disappearnce. One wrote, “I just want to tell you that you don’t owe us anything, we love you and we’re here to support you and your friends who are going through so much pain right now, I’m sorry if there are people who have made you feel like you can’t grieve at peace, we love you ❤” Years ago, Chris also opened up about how he personally mourned losing Cory Monteith, who passed away seven years ago tomorrow, and his statement is just as relevant right now.

Lea Michele has deactivated her Twitter account as of the time of this posting.

Her usual handle, @leamichele, now shows a deactivated account page with none of her previous tweets listed.

Fans are beginning to theorize why Lea may have made this move. It has been a tough couple of months for Lea after she was involved in a big controversy over her alleged on set behavior.

Lea‘s Glee co-star, Naya Rivera, has also been missing for several days after boating with her son Josey, 4, at Lake Piru in California.

In addition, Monday (July 13) is the anniversary of Lea‘s boyfriend Cory Monteith‘s tragic death back in 2013. His cause of death was later revealed to be due to heroin and alcohol.

Rivalità interne, relazioni e tradimenti, suicidi, morti accidentali sono avvenuti dietro quella facciata di sorrisi e successi. L'ultimo fatto tragico si sta svolgendo in queste ore, mentre la polizia della California cerca il corpo di Naya Rivera in un lago poco a nord di Los Angeles. La 33enne attrice, che nel programma interpretava la cheerleader Santana Lopez, aveva affittato una barca nel pomeriggio di mercoledì, insieme al figlio di quattro anni, Josey. Circa tre ore più tardi un altro turista ha notato la barca che galleggiava, con dentro solo il bambino, addormentato. Il piccolo, che indossava il giubbotto salvagente, ha detto: «La mamma è andata a nuotare, ma non è ancora tornata». Le ricerche sono cominciate immediatamente, sia con squadre di sub che con elicotteri e droni. Ma sono state interrotte la sera, per l'oscurità, e riprese ieri mattina all'alba. «Un lago di queste dimensioni presenta molte difficoltà» ha spiegato il capitano Eric Buschow. Il lago si trova nel parco nazionale Los Padres, ed è una destinazione amata dai gitanti, ma negli anni ci sono stati vari incidenti, perché la gente sottovaluta la profondità e la temperatura fredda delle sue acque. 11 bambino è stato affidato al padre, l'attore Ryan Dorsey, che ne condivideva l'affidamento con Naya. La coppia aveva divorziato due anni fa, dopo quattro anni di matrimonio non esattamente di miele, tanto che Naya si è fatta qualche ora di carcere per aver colpito Ryan al volto durante una lite, nel 2017. La coppia si era unita in matrimonio nel giugno del 2014, nello stesso giorno in cui originariamente lei doveva volare a nozze con il suo precedente fidanzato, il cantante rap Big Sean. Invece l'attrice e il cantante si sono lasciati e Naya si è sposata con Ryan, un popolare attore televisivo. Nel frattempo però l'attrice aveva anche avuto una relazione con un collega sul set, l'attore Mark Sailing, che in GIee interpretava il personaggio di Puck, e che più tardi, ne12018, si è suicidato. Sailing era sotto inchiesta perché trovato in possesso di materiale pedopornografico. Sapeva che la sua carriera era finita e che lo aspettava quasi sicuramente una lunga pena detentiva. Il suo suicidio due anni fa e l'apparente morte di Naya per annegamento oggi, sono solo due delle ombre cupe che oscurano il nome di Glee. Nel 2013 il programma aveva perso il suo attore principale, Cory Monteith, che interpretava la parte di un giocatore di football che accetta a malavoglia di far parte del club musicale, il Glee appunto, della sua scuola. Nel 2013, poco prima che Glee cominciasse la quarta stagione, Monteith fu trovato morto per overdose di alcol ed eroina in un albergo di Vancouver. Ma lo stesso creatore del programma, Ryan Murphy, ha raccontato come sul set ci fossero spesso problemi. Nonostante l'immenso successo di pubblico, la conquista di ben due Golden Globe e la popolarità che ha baciato tutti i suoi interpreti, sul set non sono mancate tensioni, soprattutto fra l'attrice Lea Michele e Naya: se i personaggi interpretati dalle due attrici erano in contrasto nella commedia, non fingevano, perché lo erano anche nella vita reale. Naya Rivera has unfollowed Lea Michele on Instagram following the allegations that have been made about the actress’ behavior on the set of Glee and other projects. It’s no secret to fans that Naya and Lea were in a feud throughout their time on the show and it has even been addressed by the show’s creator Ryan Murphy. Naya also addressed the feud in her memoir that came out in 2016. Naya had been following Lea on Instagram up until Tuesday night (June 2). As of today, she is no longer following her on the social media platform. The only Glee cast members who Lea follows are Darren Criss, Chris Colfer, and Becca Tobin.

Even Heather Morris is speaking out about the allegations made against her former Glee co-star Lea Michele. The 33-year-old actress and dancer, who played cheerleader Brittany S. Pierce on the beloved series, says that Lea was “very” unpleasant to work with. Samantha Ware, who appeared on the show’s final season, spoke out earlier this week and said that Lea made her first television gig a “living hell.”

Heather said, “Let me be very clear, Hate is a disease in America that we are trying to cure, so I would never wish for hate to be spread to anyone else. With that said, was she unpleasant to work with? Very much so; for Lea to treat others with the disrespect that she did for as long as she did, I believe she SHOULD be called out.”

“And yet, it’s also on us because to allow it to go on for so long without speaking out is something else we’re learning along with the rest of society,” Heather continued. “But, at the current moment its implied that she is a racist and although I cannot comment on her beliefs, I think we’re assuming, and you know what happens when we all assume…”

Cory Monteith‘s mom, Ann McGregor, is speaking about painfully hearing that her son had passed away in July of 2013. At the time, Cory had been dating his Glee co-star Lea Michele, and Ann says Lea called her “screaming” to ask her about the tragic news. “I got a call from Lea and she was screaming on the phone. She was yelling, ‘Is it true, is it true about Cory?’ and I said, ‘What about Cory?’ I had heard nothing. And then police knocked on my front door,” Ann recalled to People. “I went into a state of numbness. I just shut off all emotions, and I was numb.” “I knew it was real, but there were times when I could lie to myself and say, ‘He’s in L.A., he’ll call me soon.’ I’m still always hanging on edge. When you lose someone who is such a big part of you, you lose all purpose for living,” Ann added. Cory‘s mom spoke further about his tragic death, including what happened just before he died that may have contributed. If you don’t know, his cause of death was officially listed him as having “mixed drug toxicity, involving heroin and alcohol.”

Lea Michele has unveiled the cover artwork for her new album Places and also revealed when it will be released! The album will hit stores and digital retailers on April 28.

Lea‘s album will be available for pre-order starting TONIGHT (March 13) at midnight ET/9pm PT.

Lea Michele has booked her next act.
The Glee and Scream Queens favorite has joined the cast of ABC's untitled city mayor comedy pilot, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
From ABC Studios and Hamilton's Daveed Diggs, the project explores what happens when an outspoken, idealistic rapper named Courtney (Search Party's Brandon Micheal Hall) runs for office as a publicity stunt. When he actually gets elected, he surprises everyone (including himself) when he has a natural knack for the job and slowly transforms City Hall.
Details on the role Michele will play were not immediately available as the part is being adjusted to specifically accommodate the actress. The character originally was planned to be Courtney's chief of staff. It's unclear if that will remain as the part continues to shift with Michele's commitment to the project. The ABC comedy marks her first pilot since Fox's Glee and first series-regular role outside of the Ryan Murphy universe. For Michele, meanwhile, this marks her follow-up to Fox's Scream Queens. The horror-comedy anthology from executive producer Murphy remains on the bubble and awaits word on its third season. Sources say Murphy released Michele from her deal for Scream Queens. Her casting does not have any bearing on if the series returns. Instead, it means her character of Hester is not going to be returning for a potential third season.
Jeremy Bronson (Speechless) will pen the script and exec produce the ABC Studios comedy alongside Diggs, Jamie Tarses, Scott Stuber and James Griffiths, with the latter set to direct the single-camera comedy.

“One of the Glee writers once said that Lea and I were like two sides of the same battery and that about sums us up,” Naya wrote. “We are both strong willed and competitive — not just with each other but with everyone — and that’s not a good mixture.”
Naya continued, “As the show progressed, though, that friendship started to break down, especially as Santana moved from a background character to one with bigger plot lines and more screen time. I think Rachel — erm, I mean Lea — didn’t like sharing the spotlight. On top of that, she had a hard time separating work from our outside friendship, whereas it was a lot easier for me. I’m not offended when people offer feedback or criticism, and if things get heated on set, I try to keep perspective. We’re all stressed, yes, but we’re all working toward the same goal, so laugh it off and keep it movin’. Lea was a lot more sensitive, though, and it seemed like she blamed me for anything and everything that went wrong.”
“If I’d complained about anyone or anything, she’d assumed I was b-tching about her,” Naya wrote. “Soon, she started to ignore me, and eventually it got to the point where she didn’t say a word to me for all of season six. Lea and I definitely weren’t the best of friends, and I doubt we’ll ever sit on her couch and eat kale together again, but the rumors of our ‘feud’ were blown out of proportion”. As for
