Poi il marito ha ritrattato. «Un errore di comunicazione», ha spiegato l'indomani mattina, prima che l'attrice, qualche ora più tardi, fosse nuovamente dichiarata morta. Tanya Roberts, la Bond Girl Stacey Sutton che nel 1985, insieme a Roger Moore, ha recitato in 007 - Bersaglio mobile, si è spenta nel tardo pomeriggio di ieri, dopo due settimane di ricovero ospedaliero. La sessantacinquenne, interprete nel 1980 della serie tv Charlie's Angels e quattro anni più tardi di Sheena - Regina della giungla, è stata portata al Cedars-Sinai Hospital di Los Angeles la vigilia di Natale, dopo essere stata colta da un malore durante una passeggiata con il cane. Massimo riserbo sulla natura dell'episodio. Ma il marito della donna, Lance O'Brien, nella prima domenica di gennaio ha chiamato il suo portavoce per metterlo a parte della morte. «Mentre la stringevo a me, nei suoi ultimi momenti, ha aperto gli occhi. Ho potuto guardarli un'ultima volta. Tanya aveva gli occhi più belli del mondo», ha detto O'Brien alla stampa statunitense, spiegando come l'ospedale di Los Angeles abbia chiuso un occhio sulle norme anti Covid per permettergli di vedere la moglie nei suoi attimi finali. «Mi è morta tra le braccia», ha riferito a Mike Pingle, amico e portavoce della moglie. «Sono devastato. Tanya era brillante, bellissima. È come se la luce mi fosse stata portata via. Dire che era un angelo sarebbe ridondante: era la persona più dolce che avessi mai incontrato, aveva un cuore grande», ha dichiarato all'Hollywood Reporter l'addetto stampa salvo dover poi rendere conto - a mezzo dello stesso giornale - del macabro qui pro quo. «È vero, questa mattina (ieri in Italia, ndr) l'ospedale ha chiamato per dire che Tanya è ancora viva. Le condizioni sono critiche, ed è frustrante. Con un po' di fortuna, avremo presto aggiornamenti», ha rettificato, parlando di una falla nella comunicazione tra Lance O'Brien e il Cedars-Sinai Hospital. O'Brien, secondo marito della Roberts, che dal 1974 al 2006 è stata sposata con lo sceneggiatore Barry Roberts, ha creduto che la moglie fosse morta. E, come riportato dal sito Trnz, ha avvisato familiari e amici. «È stata attaccata ad un ventilatore, ma non è mai migliorata», ha detto a chi le era vicino. Poi, è arrivata la smentita della struttura ospedaliera e un barlume di speranza è tornato a brillare. O'Brien ha ricevuto la telefonata dell'istituto durante una diretta televisiva: ha pianto di gioia. Poche ore più tardi, però, una seconda chiamata da parte dei dottori ha messo fine all'equivoco. Tanya Roberts, che nel 2001 aveva lasciato il That 'ros Show per prendersi cura del primo marito, malato terminale, é morta ieri a 65 anni.

NEWS - Uniti per la Naya! Ryan Murphy e gli altri ideatori di "Glee" istituiscono un fondo per gli studi del figlio della Rivera

The creators of Glee – Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan – have paid a beautiful tribute to Naya Rivera, who died after a drowning accident this week.

In their statement, the three producers honored Naya‘s memory and have stated that they intend to start a college fund for her four-year-old son, Josey.

“We are heartbroken over the loss of our friend Naya Rivera,” their tribute starts. “Naya wasn’t a series regular when we cast her on Glee. She didn’t have more than a few lines in the pilot. But it didn’t take more than an episode or two for us to realize that we had lucked into finding one of the most talented, special stars we would ever have the pleasure of working with.”

It continues, “Naya could act, she could dance, and she could sing (could she ever sing!) She could nail a joke as well as she could crush you with an emotional scene. She could move between being scary tough and deeply vulnerable with ease. She was a joy to write for, a joy to direct and a joy to be around.”

“Naya is responsible for numerous iconic Glee musical performances- The Adele Mash Up, Valerie, Songbird- but her greatest Glee legacy is probably the humor and humanity that she brought to Santana’s relationship with her best friend and eventual girlfriend/wife Brittany (played by Heather Morris). It was one of the first times an openly lesbian, high school relationship was seen on network television and Naya understood what ‘Brittana’ meant to the many young women who were seeing themselves represented on television for the first time.”

“Naya always made sure that Santana’s love for Brittany was expressed with dignity, strength and with pure intentions. Naya was always moved by the girls who reached out to her to tell her how much Santana and Brittany’s love affected them. Naya’s obligation to them- and to all of her fans- was obvious. She had the rare combination of humility and endless confidence in her talent.”

The three went on, saying, “Naya was a real pro. Always on time, always knew her lines (which wasn’t easy considering the giant mouthfuls of dialogue we often gave her), always kept everyone laughing on the set. She was warm and caring and fiercely protective of the rest of the cast. She was tough and demanding. She was fun. She was kind. She was generous. There were ups and downs during the wonderful and stressful years we spent making Glee. We disagreed, we fought, we made up, then we fought some more, than we made up again. The kinds of things that happen in a family. Naya was more than just an actor on our show- she was our friend.”

The statement concluded, “Our hearts go out to her family, especially her mom, Yolanda, who was a big part of the Glee family and her son Josey. The three of us are currently in the process of creating a college fund for the beautiful son Naya loved most of all.”

Il cadavere dell'attrice di "Glee" Naya Rivera è stato ritrovato nel lago Piru della Southern California. Lo ha comunicato lo sceriffo della contea di Ventura che circa una settimana si occupa delle operazioni di ricerca. L'attrice era sparita l'8 luglio, dopo aver portato il figlio sul lago con una barca affittata. Il riconoscimento ufficiale non è ancora stato comunicato ma è stata convocata una conferenza stampa in serata per importanti comunicazioni. La svolta nella ricerca dell'attrice è arrivata qualche ora fa quando la polizia ha annunciato di avere un elemento fondamentale: si trattava di una foto che la stessa Naya Rivera aveva inviato alla famiglia. Nello scatto c'è il Josey, bimbo di quattro anni che si è salvato, e sullo sfondo si vedeva una insenatura che le autorità della Ventura County sono state in grado di localizzare. La foto era stata scattata al massimo un paio d'ore prima rispetto al ritrovamento del piccolo Josey che era solo sulla barca. Il bimbo disse alla polizia che sia lui che la mamma erano andati a nuotare ma che lei non era più risalita a bordo. Avendo perso ormai ogni speranza di ritrovare Naya viva, l'ufficio dello sceriffo aveva chiuso al pubblico il lago per impedire ai fan di condurre ricerche in proprio.

Per sei anni, dal 2009 al 2015, è stato il programma cult che ha voluto comunicare questo messaggio di ottimismo ai tanti adolescenti che si sentivano emarginati. Eppure Glee verrà ricordato anche per l'ombra scura che l'ha sovrastato. Rivalità interne, relazioni e tradimenti, suicidi, morti accidentali sono avvenuti dietro quella facciata di sorrisi e successi. L'ultimo fatto tragico si sta svolgendo in queste ore, mentre la polizia della California cerca il corpo di Naya Rivera in un lago poco a nord di Los Angeles. La 33enne attrice, che nel programma interpretava la cheerleader Santana Lopez, aveva affittato una barca nel pomeriggio di mercoledì, insieme al figlio di quattro anni, Josey. Circa tre ore più tardi un altro turista ha notato la barca che galleggiava, con dentro solo il bambino, addormentato. Il piccolo, che indossava il giubbotto salvagente, ha detto: «La mamma è andata a nuotare, ma non è ancora tornata». Le ricerche sono cominciate immediatamente, sia con squadre di sub che con elicotteri e droni. Ma sono state interrotte la sera, per l'oscurità, e riprese ieri mattina all'alba. «Un lago di queste dimensioni presenta molte difficoltà» ha spiegato il capitano Eric Buschow. Il lago si trova nel parco nazionale Los Padres, ed è una destinazione amata dai gitanti, ma negli anni ci sono stati vari incidenti, perché la gente sottovaluta la profondità e la temperatura fredda delle sue acque. 11 bambino è stato affidato al padre, l'attore Ryan Dorsey, che ne condivideva l'affidamento con Naya. La coppia aveva divorziato due anni fa, dopo quattro anni di matrimonio non esattamente di miele, tanto che Naya si è fatta qualche ora di carcere per aver colpito Ryan al volto durante una lite, nel 2017. La coppia si era unita in matrimonio nel giugno del 2014, nello stesso giorno in cui originariamente lei doveva volare a nozze con il suo precedente fidanzato, il cantante rap Big Sean. Invece l'attrice e il cantante si sono lasciati e Naya si è sposata con Ryan, un popolare attore televisivo. Nel frattempo però l'attrice aveva anche avuto una relazione con un collega sul set, l'attore Mark Sailing, che in GIee interpretava il personaggio di Puck, e che più tardi, ne12018, si è suicidato. Sailing era sotto inchiesta perché trovato in possesso di materiale pedopornografico. Sapeva che la sua carriera era finita e che lo aspettava quasi sicuramente una lunga pena detentiva. Il suo suicidio due anni fa e l'apparente morte di Naya per annegamento oggi, sono solo due delle ombre cupe che oscurano il nome di Glee. Nel 2013 il programma aveva perso il suo attore principale, Cory Monteith, che interpretava la parte di un giocatore di football che accetta a malavoglia di far parte del club musicale, il Glee appunto, della sua scuola. Nel 2013, poco prima che Glee cominciasse la quarta stagione, Monteith fu trovato morto per overdose di alcol ed eroina in un albergo di Vancouver. Ma lo stesso creatore del programma, Ryan Murphy, ha raccontato come sul set ci fossero spesso problemi. Nonostante l'immenso successo di pubblico, la conquista di ben due Golden Globe e la popolarità che ha baciato tutti i suoi interpreti, sul set non sono mancate tensioni, soprattutto fra l'attrice Lea Michele e Naya: se i personaggi interpretati dalle due attrici erano in contrasto nella commedia, non fingevano, perché lo erano anche nella vita reale. A sentire Murphy, poi, gli attori andavano a letto, si lasciavano e si ritrovavano con grande facilità, creando gelosie e contrasti nella piccola troupe. Ieri tuttavia numerosi ex membri del cast del programma, incluso la nota cantante Demi Lovato, hanno espresso la loro speranza che Naya venga ritrovata sana e salva.

La t-shirt bianca e i jeans stinti, la moto nera e lo sguardo triste, la solitudine del ragazzo ricco costretto a vivere lontano dai genitori che non lo amavano: con Luke Perry, protagonista di «Beverly Hills 90210», morto lunedì a Los Angeles per le conseguenze di un ictus a soli 52 anni (mercoledì scorso il malore che era parso subito gravissimo, il coma), non se ne va soltanto uno degli attori televisivi più importanti dell’ultimo trentennio, ma scompare anche un simbolo degli anni ’90. Simbolo della confusione adolescenziale, della solitudine. Il suo coetaneo Kurt Cobain in quegli anni fu il maledetto del grunge, il ribelle con la chitarra elettrica che vedeva il successo come la prova della sua ipocrisia. Luke Perry, idolo pop quanto Cobain era l’eroe del rock, incarnava l’inquietudine e la confusione giovanile, Dylan con problemi d’alcolismo innamorato della dolce Brenda arrivata dalla provincia, sorella del suo migliore amico, il sensibile Brandon. «Beverly Hills 90210» apparve nel 1990 con successo globale (20 milioni di spettatori ad ogni puntata soltanto negli Usa) e l’ultima puntata è stata trasmessa nel 2000: raccontava dei fratelli Brandon e Brenda arrivati nella terra dei ricchi californiani dal natio Minnesota, ma il protagonista era il Dylan McKay di Luke Perry. Ribelle nella fiction e fuori, fu il primo (1995) a lasciare il serial all’apice del successo per provarci col cinema: andò male (lo ricordiamo in Vacanze di Natale 95 con Cristiana Capotondi che gli dice «quanto sei bbbono» in discoteca) e così tornò a «Beverly Hills 90210» tre anni più tardi, ammettendo con franchezza che lo faceva per i soldi. Ma per soldi non accettò almeno la malconsigliata «reunion» del 2008 con gli ex colleghi un po’ spaesati, lasciando il ricordo del Dylan bello e dannato all’esercito di fan alle quali Capotondi aveva dato voce stentorea. Accolta la fama con lo schietto realismo da figlio d’un metalmeccanico dell’Ohio, era arrivato al successo dopo una serie impressionanti di «no» incassati ai casting (inizialmente doveva interpretare il personaggio secondario di Steve ma l’avevano scartato anche quella volta, vinse il ruolo di Dylan contro ogni aspettativa non soltanto sua, ma anche del suo agente). Il dopo-«90210» fu poco stimolante, in quest’ultimo ventennio della sua vita e della sua carriera: comparsate in serial di successo come «Criminal Minds», «Law & Order: Special Victims Unit» e «Will & Grace», doppiaggi a lodevole tasso di autoironia ne «I Simpson» e ne «I Griffin» nei panni di se stesso, icona anni Novanta fuori tempo massimo. Ci provò con il teatro di lusso, «Rocky Horror Show» a Broadway e «Harry ti presento Sally» a Londra, sempre a caccia di quel successo che era stato suo e che gli era sfuggito dalle mani in un istante, spente le luci sul set dell’ultima puntata di «Beverly Hills». Il mondo l’ha rivisto in «Riverdale» (su Sky), serial nel quale ormai faceva una parte da comprimario, il papà, con le rughe in vista lodevolmente sottratte al Botox e lo sguardo triste di una volta. Luke Perry, il Dylan di Beverly Hills 90210, è morto dopo essere stato vittima di un violento ictus mercoledì scorso. A dare la notizia il sito Tmz. L’attore aveva 52 anni e si è spento lunedì mattina al St. Joseph’s Hospital di Burbank, in California. Lascia due figli, Jack e Sophie. I dottori lo avevano sedato nella speranza che si riprendesse, ma il danno al cervello era troppo esteso. Noto per aver vestito i panni di Dylan McKay in  dieci stagioni di Beverly Hills, indimenticato telefilm degli anni ‘90, è entrato anche nel cuore delle nuove generazioni con il ruolo di Fred Andrews in Riverdale. In mezzo, numerosi film e serie tv e una significativa carriera come doppiatore di cartoni animati. Il pubblico italiano lo ricorderà anche in Vacanze di Natale ‘95, in cui interpretava se stesso. Mercoledì scorso, quando ha avuto l’ictus, era stato annunciato il reboot di Beverly Hills, a cui non avrebbe partecipato se non con qualche sporadica apparizione.

To paraphrase another voice from another apocalypse, Andrew Lincoln will be back. While the much hyped tonight’s episode of The Walking Dead would be the last fans see of the actor on AMC’s zombie apocalypse series, Lincoln and his seemingly fatally impaled Rick Grimes character have a future with the franchise. A series of AMC Studios original films, starring Lincoln and written by Chief Content Officer Scott M. Gimple, are planned to continue the story of Rick Grimes, with the first expected to begin production as early as 2019. “It’s not the beginning of the end, it’s the end of the beginning,” a clean shaven Lincoln said later on aftershow Talking Dead of himself and the character he has played since the very beginning of TWD in 2010. “And I like the idea that we get to tell a bigger story, maybe with a sort of wider vista,” Lincoln told Yvette Nicole Brown in a sitdown interview. “And I’ve always been interested in what’s going on out there, you know, whether or not there is contact with the wider world. I want to know the meta of it all. And I suppose to be able to kind of touch upon that in a contained story for me is a very exciting proposition … Maybe it’s the start of a bigger story.” The Rick Grimes movies are among the first projects in development from Gimple as part of a multi-year plan for The Walking Dead Universe, which also includes other projects currently in the works: additional films, specials, series, digital content and more. According to Gimple, some of the stories will relate to The Walking Dead as fans know it while others will be standalone stories that break into new creative territory. “We have a lot on the horizon – starting with a new epic featuring one of the greatest leading actors in television history and one of the best people I’ve ever met,” said Gimple. “These films are going to be big evolutions of what we’ve been doing on the show, with the scope and scale of features. We’re starting with the first part of the continuing story of Rick Grimes, and there is much more on the way, featuring yet-unseen worlds of The Walking Dead and faces from the show’s past, as well as new characters we hope to become favorites, told by TWD veterans and emerging voices. We want to break new ground with different, distinct stories, all part of the same world that’s captured our imagination for nearly a decade of the Dead.” Starting with a TWD and spinoff Fear The Walking Dead crossover bridged by Lennie James’ Morgan this year, AMC has made it very clear they see a larger Walking Dead world coming. In September, AMC CEO Josh Sapan told an investors’ conference that “we have a plan to manage it over the next decade plus …a very careful plan.” With that mandate, to shepherd “potential brand extensions on a variety of platforms,” former Walking Dead showrunner Gimple was named Chief Content Officer for the brand back on January 13.

GOSSIP - Clamoroso al Cibali! La mamma di Cory Monteith ha saputo della morte del figlio da Lea Michele!

Cory Monteith‘s mom, Ann McGregor, is speaking about painfully hearing that her son had passed away in July of 2013. At the time, Cory had been dating his Glee co-star Lea Michele, and Ann says Lea called her “screaming” to ask her about the tragic news. “I got a call from Lea and she was screaming on the phone. She was yelling, ‘Is it true, is it true about Cory?’ and I said, ‘What about Cory?’ I had heard nothing. And then police knocked on my front door,” Ann recalled to People. “I went into a state of numbness. I just shut off all emotions, and I was numb.” “I knew it was real, but there were times when I could lie to myself and say, ‘He’s in L.A., he’ll call me soon.’ I’m still always hanging on edge. When you lose someone who is such a big part of you, you lose all purpose for living,” Ann added. Cory‘s mom spoke further about his tragic death, including what happened just before he died that may have contributed. If you don’t know, his cause of death was officially listed him as having “mixed drug toxicity, involving heroin and alcohol.”

NEWS - Fermi tutti! Scattata la petizione per licenziare lo showrunner di "The Walking Dead", ma non per le pessime sceneggiature...

This week, there have been a lot of The Walking Dead fans — and Star Wars fans, for that matter — who are unhappy that things did not go their way with their respective franchises. In the case of The Walking Dead, fans have gone further than to leave negative reviews on Rotten Tomatoes: One fan has actually launched an online petition to have The Walking Dead showrunner, Scott Gimple, fired from the series. The petition stems from Gimple’s decision in the midseason finale to kill off a popular character, Carl Grimes, who is not only still alive but a rising leader in Robert Kirkman’s source material. The character is not officially dead on the TV series, although Gimple left no doubt about his eventual fate. The decision upset some fans, as well as the actor who plays Carl, Chandler Riggs, and even his father. The petition, created at Change.org by a fan, Tyler Sigmon, has so far amassed 35,000 signatures (with a goal of 50,000). It asks that AMC fire Gimple not only for killing off Carl, but for the unfair treatment Sigmon feels Riggs received: 

Scott [Gimple] has decided to kill off the shows most pivotal character Carl Grimes, son of main character Rick Grimes. The entire show has been a lead up to showing Carl become the leader that his father is, maybe one day taking on the mantle himself. Actor Chandler Riggs even considered postponing his college education so he could work on the show after Gimple promised that he would be on the show for 3 more years. Chandlers dad, William Riggs, said in a facebook post, that was later pulled, that Gimple fired his son just 2 weeks before his 18th birthday even though he promised the actor 3 more years of working on the show. He goes on to say that he never trusted Gimple or AMC and that his son did, making it especially heartbreaking for him to be fired.

The petition is very unlikely to result in Gimple’s departure on the series. For one, all of season eight has already been shot, so there’s another eight episodes in the can that will give Gimple an opportunity either renew fans’ faith in his stewardship or leave them further disappointed. More importantly, I believe for a variety of reasons that killing off Carl Grimes will ultimately be better for the series in the long term, notwithstanding his role in the source material. Most importantly, and this goes for Star Wars, as well: Film and television makers have no duty to execute for entitled fans the exact vision they had for the series, just as entitled fans have no duty to continue watching a film or television franchise with which they have grown disillusioned. Certainly, fans have every right to complain about the direction a movie or television show takes, or even sign a petition. While showrunners and directors are certainly allowed to take those opinions into consideration, storylines should not ultimately be dictated by the fans.

The upcoming series Star Trek: Discovery had a bunch of delays and the producers just revealed that one of them was waiting for star Sonequa Martin-Green to become available! The 32-year-old actress was committed to The Walking Dead and AMC wouldn’t let her join another series until her death on that show was made public.

Sonequa opened up about her gratitude for being on the show while joining cast members Jason Isaacs, James Frain, and Mary Chieffo, as well as executive producers like Alex Kurtzman at the 2017 TCA Summer Press Tour on Tuesday (August 1) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

“The honor is mine. The pleasure is mine. I feel that we are all running over—our cups are running over with gratitude and excitement,” Sonequa said about being the first minority female to be a lead on a Star Trek show (via E! News). “We’re bursting at the seams from the weight of it and the breadth of it. We just—we couldn’t be more thrilled to share this journey with you because we understand its significance. We know we’re telling a story we believe in. Everybody is so passionate…This is an epicly grand, yet microscopically tuned, deeply emotional story. We don’t take it for granted. We don’t take it lightly. I certainly don’t. I feel like—it’s a dream to be able to be a part of history. It’s a dream. So, thank you.”
