GOSSIP - E' un Black Friday? No, rosso sangue!
Maggie Q is starring in a new campaign for PETA in order to urge holiday shoppers to avoid buying fur products during the busy shopping season. The 38-year-old actress, who stars on the ABC series Designated Survivor, is pictured holding a bloodied and skinned “rabbit” for the anti-fur ad.Here’s the Rest of Your Fur Trim,” the ad proclaims. “Eyewitness exposés of fur farms in China, the world’s largest exporter of fur, have revealed that animals are confined to barren wire cages—exposed to all weather extremes—and that many go insane from the constant confinement and frantically pace and circle [in] their cages,” Maggie said in a statement. “I want people to make the connection that the choice to wear fur is directly contributing to mass suffering.” Maggie joins a list of celebs, including Taraji P. Henson, Olivia Munn, who have starred in ads for PETA.

"Senza discussioni"
Taraji P. Henson, Terrence Howard, Trai Byers, Jussie Smollett, and Bryshere “Yazz” Gray take the cover of THR‘s latest issue! Here’s what the cast had to share with the mag:
Taraji, on Cookie’s appeal: “So after however many years I’ve been in this business, I finally have Hollywood’s attention.”
Lee Daniels, on the possibility of an Empire spinoff: “It’s coming…without question.”
Lee, on Terrence Howard and his troubles with the law: “That poor boy [Terrence] ain’t done nothing different than Marlon Brando or Sean Penn, and all of a sudden he’s some f—in’ demon. That’s a sign of the time, of race, of where we are right now in America.”

GOSSIP - Super-Cookie fuori di seno! Taraji P(orn) Henson preme l'acceleratore sexy su "W"

Taraji P. Henson shows off a ton of her breasts in this brand new photo from her W magazine cover story. Here’s what the 44-year-old Empire star had to share with the mag:
On her role of Cookie in Empire: “Not only would I never be offered a character like Cookie in a movie, but she doesn’t exist. Cookie is bold and crazy, and she loves the struggle. She started from nothing, and now she’s at the top. In that way, we’re alike: Cookie is the American Dream.”
On originally turning down Cookie: “I was like, This is stupid. Hip-hop—dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb. But then I started to think, Cookie is going to piss so many people off! She hits her son with a broom; she talks back. Clearly, this was a challenge.”
On moving to LA to pursue acting when her son was a toddler: “It was a struggle. But my son grew as my career grew. I never had a nanny—I did TV so I could be home with him. I wasn’t making my millions, but I was able to fulfill my dreams and be a mother.”

Taraji P. Henson lets her gorgeous hair run wild on the July 2015 cover of Allure magazine.
Here’s what the 44-year-old Empire star had to share with the mag:
On co-star Terrence Howard‘s legal issues: “Let’s pop the trunk to your life and see what’s dysfunctional and what’s bad…. At the end of the day, we’re all human and we got flaws and we got shit.”
On working her way into the industry by doing friends’ hair and nails: “I come from a family of hard workers….Oh, yeah, I knew how to hustle and make money. We used to do wet sets…I bought a hooded dryer, and I had my box of rollers…I could have gone to jail; I had no license whatsoever. But it was just my friends. They were like, ‘Girl, hook me up.’”
On not sleeping with co-stars: “I always wanted to be known for my work. Not who I dated. Not who I slept with…I have a gift, and my gift is acting. I started in the business at 26 with a kid, so I was smart enough to know reality from fantasy. I didn’t want to blur the lines. This is a job that I have to do. I cannot get caught up in it. And if I sleep with these guys, why would they want to work with me again? The conquest is up.”

Six Emmy contenders Taraji P. Henson, Viola Davis, Lizzy Caplan, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jessica Lange, and Ruth Wilson take the cover of The Hollywood Reporter‘s latest issue, hitting stands this week. They speak candidly during a roundtable about race, sexism, aging, nudity and typecasting.
Viola on what most appealed to her and scared her about playing the lead in a Shonda Rhimes drama (How To Get Away With Murder): There was absolutely no precedent for it. I had never seen a 49-year-old, dark-skinned woman who is not a size 2 be a sexualized role in TV or film. I’m a sexual woman, but nothing in my career has ever identified me as a sexualized woman. I was the prototype of the “mommified” role. Then all of a sudden, this part came, and fear would be an understatement. When I saw myself for the first time in the pilot episode, I was mortified. I saw the fake eyelashes and, “Are you kidding me? Who is going to believe this?” And then I thought: “OK, this is your moment to not typecast yourself, to play a woman who is sexualized and do your investigative work to find out who this woman is and put a real woman on TV who’s smack-dab in the midst of this pop fiction.
Maggie on a specific point in her career when she felt the bravest: I had a rape scene in The Honorable Woman where it was clearly written that she’d be saying, “No, no, please, no,” right away. But I wanted her to be complicit and wanting it; the darkest, most painful sex, right up until the point it turned into rape. I wanted her to want something she knew she shouldn’t want. I can sometimes tell when actors fought an ordinary approach to a scene, and I’m so glad they did because it tells a better story.
Lizzy on if it’s tough to do a lot of nudity on Masters of Sex: I was more afraid of doing nudity on [HBO’s] True Blood. It got easier after that, but I’m not ever 100 percent comfortable. There was a scene last season where I take my robe off, I’m naked and then transition into locked-eye [with Michael Sheen’s character], full-on masturbation from beginning to end. We have a female showrunner who considers herself a prude, so the sex scenes always move the story forward. But I remember being in my trailer before that scene and thinking for the first time since the show started: “I really don’t want to go out there and do this.”

L'EDICOLA DI LOU - Stralci, cover e commenti sui telefilm dai media italiani e stranieri

CORRIERE DELLA SERA
"Empire" sovverte i tabù sessuali e musicali

A chi lasciare l'impero? L'EDICOLA DI LOU - Stralci, cover e commenti sui telefilm dai media italiani e stranieri
Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard take the cover of EW‘s Empire related issue!
Terrence chatted about working with Taraji on the show: “We’re like father and daughter, mother and son, brother and sister,” he said. “We’ve never been lovers. When I was doing Hustle & Flow, I was like, ‘I know I’m playing this character right if all my female co-leads want to sleep with me.’ Taraji was the only one that didn’t want to.” Meanwhile, Empire‘s ratings keep on growing as the show approaches the season finale in a few weeks. Empire rose to 13.75 million viewers in last night’s episode, which makes it the most-watched show of the evening, THR reports.
