Paul Wesley and Phoebe Tonkin have called it quits yet again after reconciling earlier this year. The former Vampire Diaries co-stars date on and off for the past four years, but fans recently noticed that the actors unfollowed each other on Instagram and now Us Weekly has confirmed the breakup. Paul and Phoebe previously split in April, but got back together after a month apart. They were last seen together while holding hands in May.

"La televisione è fatta di alti e bassi, di titoli di punta e grandi successi e di una programmazione minore, che serve più che altro a riempire tutti i molti spazi che rimangono liberi. Vale per l'Italia, e questo lo sappiamo bene. E vale per la blasonata tv statunitense: qui, concentrandoci sempre sulle serie più viste, più amate o più vicine all'ideale di «qualità», lasciamo spesso sullo sfondo i prodotti meno ambiziosi. È il caso di un titolo come The Originals, trasmesso negli Stati Uniti dal «network per giovani» The CW e in Italia dal canale femminile Mya (Mediaset Premium, domenica e giovedì, ore 21.15). La serie è uno spin-off di The Vampire Diaries , è giunta alla seconda stagione ed è già confermata per una terza. I tre fratelli Mikaelson, Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies) e Rebekah (Claire Holt, che però sparisce presto nella seconda stagione), sono vampiri originali, già presenti nella serie-madre, che si spostano a New Orleans e cercano di riconquistare il quartiere francese, da cui erano stati cacciati tempo prima e che ora è al centro di una guerra costante tra fazioni per ottenerne il controllo. Impossibile ricostruire in dettaglio la trama, che su questo canovaccio, il ritorno e la conquista, innesta un complesso intrico di relazioni tra vampiri, lupi mannari e streghe, di doppi giochi incrociati, di quiete prima della tempesta e scontri improvvisi.
La serie, creata da Julie Plec, sfodera tutto l'armamentario fantasy - ipnosi, incantesimi, sangue, paletti, anelli, pozioni, persino risurrezioni - e occhieggia in modo evidente a recenti fenomeni di romanzi e film young adult, come Twilight o Hunger Games : impossibile trovare un mostro che non sia anche di bell'aspetto. Nomi e categorie si accumulano a ogni puntata, i piani temporali si confondono, l'agire è sempre determinante: ma l'impressione è che si tratti di molto rumore per nulla, di un agitarsi furioso che copre il vuoto di idee". Joseph currently stars in The Originals as the hottie vampire-werewolf hybrid Klaus. In our exclusive interview with Joseph, he chats about married life to his new wife Persia White, his New Year’s resolutions, and of course, The Originals!
The Originals returned January 19 at 8pm EST on The CW. It’s the first episode back from the winter hiatus so be sure to tune in! Klaus is currently preoccupied with protecting his baby daughter Hope from Dahlia’s curse. He’s also hellbent on keeping Cami (Leah Pipes) safe from his vengeful brother Finn (Yusuf Gatewood), while Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and Jackson (Nathan Parsons) devise a plan to bring the vampires and werewolves together to consider a truce.

Joseph Morgan Interview – JustJared.com Exclusive

Just Jared: What is the potential for another crossover between The Originals and The Vampire Diaries?
Joseph Morgan: It’s an interesting question, because we’ve done two so far. With Tyler coming over seeking revenge and we did one with Tatia, which was Nina [Dobrev] coming. There’s a lot of people wanting to see Caroline crossing over to New Orleans to visit Klaus, because of that sort of unresolved romance that happened back in Vampire Diaries.
I’m sure they will use another crossover because why wouldn’t they? It’s a wonderful opportunity. It might be nice to see another character that I don’t have a history with. I like Michael Malarkey, who plays Enzo on Vampire Diaries. I’d love him to cross over just ’cause I’d get to spend more time with him then, he’s a good bloke.

JJ: Was your first audition for Harry Potter? Could you rewind us back to those days?
JM: (smiles) Yeah! I was just in drama school and I just signed with my agent in the UK. I was 21, and I heard about them making the Chamber of Secrets, which was the second film. There was this part, Tom Riddle, and this woman called me, who was interested in being my agent. It came through on an anonymous number, and I thought it was one of my friends pretending like, “Hello, is Joseph there please? Yes, I have an audition for him.”
So I read the book, watched the first Harry Potter film, bought a Harry Potter poster and put it on my wall. I absorbed it all as much as I could. Then I went in and I got a call back but I didn’t end up getting it. It sort of set the standard for me. Like, I knew I should be doing film and television.
We’d all seen Orlando Bloom get Lord of the Rings, and shoot for stardom. So I got this audition and I was like see ya later guys! I’m off on my rocket ship to stardom.

JJ: What are the last three things you charged on your credit card?

JM: My room in Los Angeles, (laughs), where I’m staying, probably my room service, and a dog we just fostered. A new pet, a little terrier…which we call Kingston. I say fostered, he was, but now we’ve adopted him. They think he’s two-years-old, but they don’t know. They found him kind of just wandering in LA, so I’m not sure his age. We named him Kingston because we love Jamaica, and you know, we got married in Jamaica.

JJ: You found him in LA, so you’re bringing him back with you guys?
JM: Yeah. We’ve only had him about five days. He’s on best behavior at the moment.

JJ: What are the next two things that you want to check off your bucket list?
JM: Skydiving! I’ve always wanted to do that. Although, I’m a little timid about heights, but I suppose at that height, it doesn’t matter. I’m not frightened to look out the window of the plane, but I think the actual jumping moment. I heard sometimes they push you out the plane, so maybe I’ll need that, like I’ll need to be pushed out.
I do play guitar a bit, but I’m trying to learn to be really good at the time. My wife got me an electric guitar for Christmas. I’ve brought an acoustic to work, so I’m going to annoy everyone at work by playing really loudly. And hopefully eventually I’ll get good! I’m like a campfire guitarist. I learned in the 90s, so I can play all the 90s indie tunes. Like Oasis, and Blur, and all these bands. I need to update my guitar playing. I’m trying to learn serious stuff like scales and modes.

JJ: Do you teach yourself with YouTube videos?
JM: Exactly that. Yeah.

JJ: What are you singing in the shower nowadays?
JM: I sing a bit of Mumford and Sons. I like to sing like Tom Waits and do all the kind of voices and stuff. Mostly dark stuff. I sing a lot in the car. I’ve got this long drive to work — like forty five minutes. So I do a lot of testing!

JJ: Any New Year’s resolutions?
JM: Exercise more. ‘Cause you never know when the shirtless scenes are coming. (laughs) They’re coming soon, I haven’t been for a while. And the guitar thing, that’s definitely a resolution. And I’m trying to do more writing now, just trying to kind of use my time better each year, be more productive.

JJ: What app do you use on your phone the most?
JM: Aside from Twitter, which I used to use more than I do now. It’s only because I work so much now that I forget about it for a minute. But I used to be religious about it. I use Audible, I like they’re books on tape. And I’m like the last person to discover Uber. I’m telling people how great Uber is and they’re like, “Where have you been for the last like, four years?” But yeah, Uber is my new best friend.

JJ: How did you make your first dollar?
JM: Working in a fruit and veg store, in Swansea Market, which is where I grew up, in Swansea, Wales. My dad got me the job, he used to go and get our fruit and veg from there and I got paid, I think 2 pounds, fifty an hour. And I basically had to lug potato sacks around and apples, and then arrange all the fruit in the store so it looked nice. That lasted about five weeks, so I must’ve made, I made twelve pounds, fifty each time, ’cause I worked for five hours. And I used all of that money to buy a keyboard from my brother, which I probably could’ve used anyway because he was my brother and it was in our house. But I wanted it to be mine and in my bedroom, so I bought it from him. And then never used it, so that was a waste of time. (laughs)

JJ: What’s the most meaningful tattoo that you have?

JM: I really like this one of the birds. But I suppose for the purpose of this question, I have a triangle on my back. I have two best friends who I’ve had since I was sixteen, and we grew up together, and we used to always refer to our friendship when we were teenagers, as the triangle. One of those guys is a good friend of mine, Leon Davis, in Wales, and the other one is Matt Ryan, who is Constantine. If you’ve seen the show Constantine, you’ll see he has the same tattoo on the other shoulder. And my mate Leon has it in the middle of his back, and I have it there. We got them together a couple of years ago in London.

JJ: You recently got married. What’s married life like? Are you still in the honeymoon period?
JM: Yeah, we’re still newlyweds ’cause you’re newlyweds for the first year I’m told. It’s terrific. We lived together before we were married, so it’s not different in that sense but it’s very different calling her my wife. And that’s still a big thrill for me.
I never really thought I would be married. Not that I was against it, my parents were married all the way up until my dad died, but I think I’ve always felt like that was something that more straight laced people do. But then I met Persia and she’s wild, interesting, passionate, fiery, and amazing. So I thought, “Alright, if it’s with her, that’s alright. I could do that.” ‘Cause it’s still kind of this, eye of the hurricane thing, which is amazing.

“Orange Is The New Black”, che MYA programma dal 23 settembre in anteprima con prima e seconda stagione una dopo l’altra, è la serie-fenomeno della nuova stagione tv. Si tratta di uno dei titoli seriali di cui la stampa americana si è occupata maggiormente nell’ultimo periodo – sia per i temi affrontati che per l’alta qualità di messa in scena – non da ultima la recente copertina del prestigioso “Entertainment Weekly” che lo ha definito letteralmente “strangest, kinkiest and most surprising hit on tv”. “La serie indaga sull’auto-distruzione e sulla brutalità che si annida anche nell’animo femminile – ha dichiarato l’ideatrice Jenji Kohan – la prigione è solo un megafono di questo aspetto”. Tra i premi si contano i 4 recenti Emmy Awards (tra cui Uzo Aduba per il personaggio Crazy Eyes), il Television Critics Awards (“miglior nuova serie della stagione”), 3 Critics Choice Awards (“miglior comedy dell’anno”, premiate Kate Mulgrew e Uzo Aduba), un People’s Choice Award, un Peabody Award e il GLAAD Award, il riconoscimento più ambito assegnato dalla comunità gay.

“Hemlock Grove” è l’altra serie-rivelazione di Netflix che MYA programma da gennaio 2015. Il titolo non è altro che il nome di una cittadina di fantasia dove viene ritrovato il cadavere di una ragazza apparentemente smembrata da un animale. Quando viene rinvenuto un secondo corpo, le indagini virano su due piste altrettanto allucinanti: sperimentazioni scientifiche a scopo farmaceutico e licantropi a piede libero. La serie, già confermata per la 2° stagione, vanta la firma del mago della suspence Eli Roth (“Hostel” e “Cabin Fever” al cinema) sia nelle vesti di produttore che di regista della puntata-pilota. Nel cast svetta Famke Janssen (“X-Men” al cinema, “Nip/Tuck” in tv). Tra le nuove leve, occhio a Penelope Mitchell (“The Vampire Diaries”) e Freya Tingley (“C’era una volta”).

I PROSEGUIMENTI DI CULTO IN PRIMA TV

Se si vuole avere un’istantanea della generazione tablet, sono un “must” che non accenna a diminuire d’intensità “Pretty Little Liars” (la 5° stagione inedita attualmente su MYA ogni venerdì) e “The Vampire Diaries” (la 6° stagione inedita su MYA febbraio 2015).

Altro titolo da Top-Tweet è “The Originals”, con la 2° stagione inedita attesa su MYA febbraio 2015. Lo spin-off di “The Vampire Diaries”, con le firme DOC di Kevin Williamson e Julie Plec della serie-madre, è ambientato nel quartiere francese di New Orleans e segue le vicende di Klaus (Joseph Morgan), l’ibrido della stirpe dei Vampiri Originali che scopre di aspettare un figlio dalla licantropa Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin). I genitori si rassegnino: i classici teen-drama son quasi estinti come i vampiri all’alba e le storie adolescenziali si innestano su trame che utilizzano i confini della realtà per suggerire che essere “diversi” (vampiri, licantropi o super-eroi che siano) può non solo essere disdicevole ma addirittura cool.

Una famiglia (allargata) da tener d’occhio è quella dei Braverman di “Parenthood” (6° stagione inedita su MYA aprile 2015) con al centro la madre single Sarah (Lauren Graham). Produce Ron Howard, già regista del film del 1989 dal quale è tratta la serie.

Le questioni di cuore unite alla voglia di cambiar vita sono al centro della 3° stagione inedita di “Hart of Dixie” con Rachel Bilson di “The OC” (su MYA ogni lunedì).

Nella 2° stagione inedita di “The Carrie Diaries” (su MYA dal 9 ottobre) entra preponderantemente in scena, su immancabili decoltè, la versione adolescente della mitica Samantha Jones (Lindsey Gort).

“Dallas” sopravvive al mito di JR (e di Larry Hagman) con la 3° stagione inedita (MYA dal 22 ottobre). La sexy Annalynne McCord (“90210”) è la new-entry che scombussola (ancor di più) gli equilibri familiari degli Ewing.

“The Paradise” della BBC, tratto da un racconto di Emile Zola, giunge alla 2° stagione inedita e finale (dal 20 settembre), con le sue atmosfere vittoriane nel primo mega-store di Sua Maestà.

NEWS - Una copertina per due. Claire Holt di "The Originals" e Katie Cassidy di "Arrow" si dividono la cover della più...Glam! 

Katie Cassidy di “Arrow” (2° stagione inedita su Premium Action/Italia 1) e Claire Holt di “The Originals” (in prima tv su Mya ogni domenica) si sono contese la copertina dell’ultimo numero del periodico “Glamoholic”, lasciando ai lettori la possibilità di scelta in edicola. Se Cassidy ha svelato che per lei essere nel cast di “Arrow” “è un onore, mi riempie la vita come mai in passato grazie a un team autoriale e artistico di prima grandezza”, Holt ha ringraziato la produzione di “The Originals” “per la possibilità di interpretare un personaggio che nel corso delle diverse epoche le permette di svariare diverse su diverse sfumature di recitazione”. 

Una cosa unisce le due attrici: l’attrazione fatale per la moda. “Ormai ho uno stile mio, ho smesso da tempo di ascoltare gli altri su cosa devo mettermi addosso!”, ha chiosato Cassidy; “passo da Helmut Lang alla Nike senza problemi, ma quando torno nella natia Australia mi bastano un paio di infradito e degli short di jeans”, ha raccontato Holt.

Se è vera la tesi che la serie televisive siano diventate uno specchio fedele della realtà, se non addirittura nuova letteratura che rilegge classici e capaci di anticipare il futuro, dando una scorsa ai titoli seriali del 2014 di Mediaset Premium non ci sono più dubbi. L’offerta delle tv digitali a pagamento di Mediaset è quanto mai varia e appetitosa di temi e spunti ancorati alla realtà anche quando si tratta di grandi classici o ci si proietta in racconti ai confini della realtà.

IN ANTEPRIMA ASSOLUTA

“DRACULA”, che MYA programma dal 15 marzo in anteprima assoluta. Il cult di Bram Stoker, firmato dalla stessa produzione di “Downton Abbey”, assume un taglio inedito nonostante le molteplici riletture divise tra grande e piccolo schermo. L’ultima in ordine temporale vede Jonathan Rhys Meyers nei panni di Vlad Tepes che, fingendosi un imprenditore americano, si reca nella Londra vittoriana per introdurre la scienza moderna. La conoscenza della bella Mina Murray (Jessica De Gouw), apparente reincarnazione della defunta moglie Ilona, sconvolgerà i suoi piani. L’aspetto new-romantic e di amor fou prende il sopravvento su una trama che nella consuetudine ha calcato la mano (e i canini) sul tema vampiresco, qui inserendo oltremodo il concetto del demone interiore – Dracula, per l’appunto – che alberga dentro l’animo di un protagonista con la sete, più che di sangue, di vendetta.

Le questioni di cuore unite alla voglia di cambiar vita sono al centro della 2° stagione inedita di “HART OF DIXIE” con Rachel Bilson (su MYA dal 4 agosto).

IN ANTEPRIMA ASSOLUTA

“MOM”, in scaletta su JOI dal 28 marzo in prima tv. Anna Faris, regina delle parodie americane al cinema, debutta in una sit-com su misura confezionata da Chuck Lorre, ideatore dell’ipercult “The Big Bang Theory” (altro titolo fiore all’occhiello di JOI). La protagonista, Christy, è una madre single di due figli con un passato di abusi di alcol e droghe che tenta di rifarsi una vita come cameriera. Vista la crisi economica, la nostra si vede costretta, per dividere le spese, a ospitare la madre Bonnie (Allison Janney), anch’essa con un passato turbolento. Le risate in sottofondo sono ispirate da una scrittura a tratti cinica che sfocia nello sferzante all’interno di un microcosmo familiare non del tutto anomalo ai giorni nostri.

I PROSEGUIMENTI DI CULTO IN PRIMA TV

Coppie anomale o di fatto sono quelle portate in scena da “MIKE&MOLLY” (4° stagione inedita su JOI dal 22 febbraio) e “2 BROKE GIRLS” (la 3° stagione inedita su JOI ogni martedì), dove le disgrazie in salotto o in una tavola calda si scontrano con temi caldi, se non bollenti, quali la crisi economica, la politica o la società.

Il miglior legal drama degli ultimi anni, quello che “Variety” ha definito “un Vesuvio in eruzione sul genere legale”, è “SUITS”, con la 3° stagione inedita in partenza su JOI dal 20 marzo.

“SHAMELESS” (4° stagione inedita su JOI dal 7 aprile), capeggia le famiglie sui generis alle prese con i problemi di tutti i giorni (crisi economica, tradimenti, figli degeneri, genitori da cattivi esempi). Basta guardare la locandina della nuova stagione, con la famiglia protagonista a capo di una rivolta di strada con in mano le molotov e nell’atto di gridare tutto il proprio scontento per far impallidire anche il più irriducibile dei Forconi. Nel frattempo la protagonista Emmy Rossum conquista in America una copertina dopo l’altra ed è sempre più seguita dallo showbiz.

Dulcis in fundo, le tre sit-com più premiate e acclamate d’America, in onda tutte su JOI. “THE BIG BANG THEORY”, manifesto della generazione nerd (e non solo) al grido di “Bazinga!”, è attesa con la 7° stagione inedita dal 1 aprile con la bacheca colma di 7 Emmy Awards, 1 Golden Globe e 2 People’s Choice Awards.

“PARKS&RECREATION”, fresca vincitrice del Golden Globe assegnato alla protagonista Amy Poehler, è attualmente in onda con la 6° stagione inedita ogni martedì.

“DUE UOMINI E MEZZO” con Ashton Kutcher, forte di 9 Emmy Awards e 4 People’s Choice Awards, è pronta a battere altri record con la 10° stagione inedita dal 9 settembre.

Infine, il “consulente sensitivo” Shawn Spencer (James Roday) ha sempre più bisogno della spalla amica di Gus (Dulé Hill) in “PSYCH” (8° stagione inedita su JOI da agosto).

IN ANTEPRIMA ASSOLUTA

Il futuro immaginato da J.J. Abrams nel nuovo “ALMOST HUMAN” (in partenza su PREMIUM ACTION dal 1 marzo) è in qualche modo alle porte di una società che cambia. Nel 2048 la scienza ha permesso di affiancare ai poliziotti di Los Angeles una serie di androidi del tutto simili agli esseri umani. John Kennex (Karl Urban), detective del dipartimento che si è appena risvegliato dal coma dopo un attentato, si ritrova a pattugliare la città con il collega androide Dorian (Michael Ealy), dalle inaspettate reazioni emotive. Secondo più di un critico, il fatto che il protagonista-robot sia di colore – in piena presidenza Obama – rappresenta una sorta di tacito manifesto dell’integrazione contro il razzismo della diversità. Se Abrams firma la produzione, l’ideazione appartiene a J.H. Wyman, già esperto di “scienza di confine” in “Fringe”.

Che il progresso della scienza sia uno dei nuovi trend seriali lo prova anche l’arrivo in prima tv della serie-evento “ORPHAN BLACK”, in onda su PREMIUM ACTION dal 20 maggio e già inserita dal prestigioso “Entertainment Weekly” tra le “3 miglior serie della stagione”. La storia è quella di Sarah Manning (interpretata dall’astro nascente Tatiana Maslany), una ragazza orfana che, dopo avere assunto l’identità di una persona a lei straordinariamente somigliante, scopre di essere frutto di un esperimento scientifico.

Thriller politico ad alta tensione ambientato alla Casa Bianca è l’inedito “HOSTAGES”, in prima tv su PREMIUM ACTION dall’8 giugno. La dottoressa Ellen Sanders (Toni Collette) è il chirurgo prescelto per operare il Presidente degli Stati Uniti. Prima dell’operazione, la dottoressa e la sua famiglia vengono presi in ostaggio da un agente del FBI che intima alla donna di uccidere il Presidente se vuole salvare i suoi cari. Prodotto da Jerry Bruckheimer, firma DOC di “CSI” e dei procedural più di successo dell’ultima decade.

E il tutto in attesa degli arrivi settembrini di “BELIEVE” altra produzione di J.J. Abrams sugli sviluppi genetici incontrollati della scienza, in arrivo su PREMIUM ACTION.

I PROSEGUIMENTI DI CULTO IN PRIMA TV

Un futuro che scorre in parallelo e fa riflettere anche nella 2° stagione inedita di “REVOLUTION” (su PREMIUM ACTION ogni mercoledì) dello stesso Abrams, dove un black-out misterioso ha gettato l’umanità agli antipodi della civiltà e dei rapporti umani.

A tener alta la bandiera dei super-eroi ci pensa invece “ARROW”, la serie tv più vista in Italia nel 2013 e nei primi mesi del 2014 che torna con gli ultimi episodi inediti su PREMIUM ACTION dall’11 febbraio, in onda a pochi giorni dalla trasmissione americana in lingua originale con i sottotitoli.

La 3° stagione inedita di “GRIMM” (su PREMIUM ACTION dal 3 marzo), in cui il detective Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) vede il lato oscuro delle persone, le "bestie selvagge" che si nascondono nelle persone che lo circondano. Il più delle volte con cattive intenzioni.

Curiosità: nell’era Obama, “IRONSIDE”, remake della celebre serie del 1967 con Raymond Burr, vede il detective protagonista costretto su una sedia a rotelle assumere origini afro-americane, interpretato da Blair Underwood. Al via su PREMIUM CRIME dal 1 maggio.

Nella schiera dei detective a puntate entra in squadra anche l’ispettore inglese Alan Banks (Stephen Tompkinson) di “DCI BANKS”, tratto dalla saga best-seller omonima. In prima tv dal 27 agosto su PREMIUM CRIME. E il poliziesco “CHICAGO PD” (su PREMIUM CRIME), nuova e attesissima creatura di Dick Wolf di “Law&Order”…

I PROSEGUIMENTI DI CULTO IN PRIMA TV

Anche nel genere crime e nelle sue derivazioni le “strane coppie” funzionano.

Sono due facce della stessa medaglia dark quelle di Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon) e Joe Carroll (James Purefoy) lungo la 2° stagione inedita di “THE FOLLOWING”, in anteprima assoluta su PREMIUM CRIME ogni lunedì.

Ci sono titoli poi che la realtà addirittura la anticipano. E’ il caso clamoroso di “PERSON OF INTEREST” – altra produzione di J.J. Abrams, in collaborazione con l’ideatore Jonathan Nolan – capace di prevedere la vicende del Datagate fin dal 2011. Nella serie che va in onda con la 3° stagione inedita su PREMIUM CRIME dal 16 febbraio ogni singolo cittadino risulta 'person of interest', soggetto sotto controllo ed intercettazione per prevenire crimini e, originariamente, atti terroristici

Un classico riletto alla stessa stregua di “SHERLOCK”, pluripremiato adattamento contemporaneo dei romanzi di Sir Arthur Conan Doyle con l’ormai divo consacrato Benedict Cumberbatch. La 3° stagione inedita della serie vincitrice di ben 7 BAFTA Awards (gli Oscar inglesi) sarà su PREMIUM CRIME dal 5 aprile.

Così come sono ormai coppie d’indagine assodate quelle formate da Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) e Teresa Lisbon (Robin Tunney) di “THE MENTALIST” (la 6° stagione inedita su PREMIUM CRIME dal 1 aprile) e da Jane Rizzoli (Angie Harmon) e Maura Isles (Sasha Alexander) in “RIZZOLI&ISLES” (4° stagione inedita su PREMIUM CRIME dal 26 febbraio). O il duo composto dalla protagonista di “NIKITA” (Maggie Q) e Michael (Shane West) nei complotti al centro della serie in onda con la 4° stagione inedita su PREMIUM ACTION ogni lunedì. La detective Sharon Raydor (Mary McDonnell) di “MAJOR CRIMES” (la 2° stagione inedita su PREMIUM CRIME dal 6 marzo) deve invece vedersela con il fantasma di Brenda Johnson di “The Closer”, del quale la serie è spin-off.

Blink
A car accident leaves a family's patriarch (John Benjamin Hickey) in a coma-like state where he cannot speak or move, but can hear. His narration and various fantasy sequences provide a wry counterpoint to the stories and conflicts of his family, which includes Madeline Carroll and Johnny Simmons. Awkward's Vera Herbert will write and serve as a supervising producer, while Smash's David Marshall Grant will executive-produce with Elementary producers Sarah Timberman and Carl Beverly. Michael Weston will also star. 

Company TownA scandal at a Navy base in Virginia divides two best friends — Gage Golightly, among them. Supernatural's Sera Gamble will write and executive-produce with Oscar winner Taylor Hackford and Rizzoli & Isles' Bill Haber. Maya Kazan, Merle Dandridge, Graham Hamilton, Dondre Whitfield and Arjun Gupta will co-star.

The HundredNearly a century after a nuclear war has destroyed civilization, a spaceship sends 100 juvenile delinquents back to Earth to investigate the possibility of re-colonizing. Based on the forthcoming Kass Morgan book of the same name, Jason Rothenberg will write and executive-produce with Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo. Henry Ian Cusick, Eli Goree, Eliza Taylor, Marie Avgeropoulos and Bob Morley will star.

The Originals
An upcoming Vampire Diaries episode will act as a backdoor pilot for a spin-off about the show's Original Family. Klaus (Joseph Morgan) returns to New Orleans -- a town he helped build centuries ago -- to reunite with his diabolical former protégé Marcel (Charles Michael Davis). Diaries executive producer Julie Plec will write and executive-produce, alongside Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo. Daniel Gillies, Claire Holt, Phoebe Tonkin, Daniella Pineda, Leah Pipes and Danielle Campbell will also star.

Oxygen
An epic romance ignites between a human girl (Aimee Teegarden) and an alien boy (Matt Lanter) when he and eight others of his kind start attending high school in the suburbs. The Good Wife's Meredith Averill will write and executive-produce with Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol producer Josh Appelbaum. Grey Damon, Malese Jow, Natalie Hall and Titus Makin Jr. will also star.

Reign
Watch as a 15-year-old Mary Queen of Scots (Adelaide Kane) arrives in France, betrothed to Prince Frances (Toby Regbo). She must survive fierce foes, dark forces and a world of sexual intrigue. Outlaw's Stephanie Sengupta and CSI: Miami's Laurie McCarthy will write and executive-produce. Celina Sinden, Jenessa Grant, Megan Follows and Caitlin Stasey will also star.

The SelectionOriginally set up at the network last pilot season, this Hunger Games-meets-The Bachelor drama follows a working-class young woman named America (Yael Grobglas) chosen by lottery to participate in a competition with 25 other women to become the nation's next queen. Based on Kiera Cass' book of the same name, Selection will be written and executive-produced by The Vampire Diaries' Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain. Anthony Stewart Head, Michael Malarkey, Lucien Laviscount, Sean Patrick Thomas, Celia Massingham and Peta Sergeant will co-star.

The Tomorrow People Based on the U.K. series of the same name, it's the story of several young people — Peyton List, Robbie Amell, Luke Mitchell and Aaron Yoo, among them — from around the world who represent the next stage in human evolution, possessing special powers like teleportation and telepathy. They work together to defeat the forces of evil. Chuck's Phil Klemmer will write and executive-produce with The Vampire Diaries' Julie Plec and Arrow's Greg Berlanti. Mark Pellegrino and Madeleine Mantock will also star.
