Chucky, the villainous doll from the Child’s Play movie franchise, is getting his own television series on the USA Network and the teaser trailer was just released! The show will be airing on both USA and Syfy and the channels teased, “It’s an evil too great to play on just one network.” In the upcoming series, “a small town is terrorized by a string of murders following the appearance of a vintage Chucky doll at a yard sale. Friends and enemies from Chuck’s past may reveal the truth behind the killings and shed light on the doll’s ‘untold origins,’” according to EW.  Jennifer Tilly has confirmed that she will be starring in the upcoming series, which is scheduled to premiere in 2021.

The creators of Glee – Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan – have paid a beautiful tribute to Naya Rivera, who died after a drowning accident this week.

In their statement, the three producers honored Naya‘s memory and have stated that they intend to start a college fund for her four-year-old son, Josey.

“We are heartbroken over the loss of our friend Naya Rivera,” their tribute starts. “Naya wasn’t a series regular when we cast her on Glee. She didn’t have more than a few lines in the pilot. But it didn’t take more than an episode or two for us to realize that we had lucked into finding one of the most talented, special stars we would ever have the pleasure of working with.”

It continues, “Naya could act, she could dance, and she could sing (could she ever sing!) She could nail a joke as well as she could crush you with an emotional scene. She could move between being scary tough and deeply vulnerable with ease. She was a joy to write for, a joy to direct and a joy to be around.”

“Naya is responsible for numerous iconic Glee musical performances- The Adele Mash Up, Valerie, Songbird- but her greatest Glee legacy is probably the humor and humanity that she brought to Santana’s relationship with her best friend and eventual girlfriend/wife Brittany (played by Heather Morris). It was one of the first times an openly lesbian, high school relationship was seen on network television and Naya understood what ‘Brittana’ meant to the many young women who were seeing themselves represented on television for the first time.”

“Naya always made sure that Santana’s love for Brittany was expressed with dignity, strength and with pure intentions. Naya was always moved by the girls who reached out to her to tell her how much Santana and Brittany’s love affected them. Naya’s obligation to them- and to all of her fans- was obvious. She had the rare combination of humility and endless confidence in her talent.”

The three went on, saying, “Naya was a real pro. Always on time, always knew her lines (which wasn’t easy considering the giant mouthfuls of dialogue we often gave her), always kept everyone laughing on the set. She was warm and caring and fiercely protective of the rest of the cast. She was tough and demanding. She was fun. She was kind. She was generous. There were ups and downs during the wonderful and stressful years we spent making Glee. We disagreed, we fought, we made up, then we fought some more, than we made up again. The kinds of things that happen in a family. Naya was more than just an actor on our show- she was our friend.”

The statement concluded, “Our hearts go out to her family, especially her mom, Yolanda, who was a big part of the Glee family and her son Josey. The three of us are currently in the process of creating a college fund for the beautiful son Naya loved most of all.”

Nello scatto c'è il Josey, bimbo di quattro anni che si è salvato, e sullo sfondo si vedeva una insenatura che le autorità della Ventura County sono state in grado di localizzare. La foto era stata scattata al massimo un paio d'ore prima rispetto al ritrovamento del piccolo Josey che era solo sulla barca. Il bimbo disse alla polizia che sia lui che la mamma erano andati a nuotare ma che lei non era più risalita a bordo. Avendo perso ormai ogni speranza di ritrovare Naya viva, l'ufficio dello sceriffo aveva chiuso al pubblico il lago per impedire ai fan di condurre ricerche in proprio.

Some Twitter aren’t happy that some Glee stars have chosen to keep quiet as the search remains for Naya Rivera, who went missing last week after a lake trip in California.

Now, Amber Riley, Kevin McHale, and more have spoken out about why they chose to be silent while others have sent prayers and other comments about Naya.

“I haven’t seen not one of the GLEE CAST MEMBERS POST ABT NAYA EXCEPT FOR @HeatherMorrisTV AND @dotmariejones y’all a need to do better @LeaMichele @JennaUshkowitz @chriscolfer,” one Twitter user wrote, sparking the conversation of why they didn’t. Amber was one of the first to clap back at her own reason – because it’s not about her. It’s about Naya. “Show some respect. All our energy is going toward helping find Naya and praying for her safe return and for her family. No one owes anyone online a performance of grief,” she wrote. “This is very real and devastating. Focus on Naya and her family. Not us. We don’t matter right now.”

Fans also came to Chris Colfer‘s defense, who hadn’t posted anything about Naya’s disappearnce. One wrote, “I just want to tell you that you don’t owe us anything, we love you and we’re here to support you and your friends who are going through so much pain right now, I’m sorry if there are people who have made you feel like you can’t grieve at peace, we love you ❤” Years ago, Chris also opened up about how he personally mourned losing Cory Monteith, who passed away seven years ago tomorrow, and his statement is just as relevant right now.

Lea Michele has deactivated her Twitter account as of the time of this posting.

Her usual handle, @leamichele, now shows a deactivated account page with none of her previous tweets listed.

Fans are beginning to theorize why Lea may have made this move. It has been a tough couple of months for Lea after she was involved in a big controversy over her alleged on set behavior.

Lea‘s Glee co-star, Naya Rivera, has also been missing for several days after boating with her son Josey, 4, at Lake Piru in California.

In addition, Monday (July 13) is the anniversary of Lea‘s boyfriend Cory Monteith‘s tragic death back in 2013. His cause of death was later revealed to be due to heroin and alcohol.

Heather Morris is offering her help in the search for Naya Rivera. The 33-year-old Glee actress reached out the Venture County Sheriff’s department on Twitter on Saturday (July 11) to ask if there is anyway she can help as they search for Naya at Lake Piru after her disappearance. “My name is Heather Morris, I’m Nayas close friend and co-worker, and I’m trying to conduct an on foot search and rescue mission along with a small group of friends at Lake Piru,” Heather tweeted. “I understand your team is doing EVERYTHING in their power, but we are feeling helpless, powerless and want to help in any way. I have left a message with the department of Rescue and Air today, and I will call again tomorrow. Thank you” Three days ago, Naya went missing at the lake while on a boat trip with 4-year-old son Josey. Hours later, Josey was found asleep on the boat, and told authorities that he and his mom went swimming, but Naya never returned to the boat. On Friday night, the authorities gave an update and explained why they’re ruling out suicide as a possibility in the disappearance.
