NEWS - Clamoroso al Cibali! In arrivo un nuovo fumetto di "Jessica Jones"
News tratta da "Entertainment Weekly"
Netflix’s Jessica Jones made
the titular protagonist — a hard-drinking, down-on-her-luck,
super-strong private eye played by Krysten Ritter — the breakout star of
Marvel’s burgeoning TV universe last fall. But fans eager to transition
from the on-screen character to comics starring her would have been
forced to go back years, to Brian Michael Bendis’ original run on Alias in the early 2000’s, or its sequel The Pulse, which ended in 2006. Now, fans will once again be able to read new comics with Jessica Jones on the cover. On Tuesday, Marvel announced a new Jessica Jones comic from the original Alias creative team: Bendis (writer), Michael Gaydos (interior artist), and David Mack (cover artist). In fact, Bendis told IGN
that the series is launching this year instead of last specifically
because he wanted to wait for Gaydos’ and Mack’s schedules to clear up.
“I’ve worked with other artists on
Jessica and always enjoyed it, but in my mind she never looks and feels
and breathes and smells more like Jessica than when Michael draws her,”
Bendis said. “That is the signature in which people think of her, of
those visuals. So having them all back together and having everyone be
just a little bit better at their jobs — I think Michael is a better
illustrator and David is a better painter — and I have to rise to the
occasion and meet them.”
One of the reasons for Marvel’s recent dearth of Jessica Jones
stories was that the character had seemed to finally get her life
together, even having a baby with long-time partner Luke Cage. According
to Bendis, when we catch up with Jessica in the new series, her life
will once again be a mess (though Bendis swears baby Danielle is fine).
“You’re going to find out about it in the first issue. We’re going to
open up a book where Jessica’s world has blown up in her face,” Bendis
told IGN. “She’s at a place you’ll least expect her. You’re going to
find all of her relationships have altered. And we’re slowly going to
find out why. I do like writing Jessica where we have to figure out ‘why
this has happened?’”
