The gift-buying process is so integral to a relationship that screwing it up can end a union just like that. In fact, when you’re together long enough that you just aren’t breaking up no matter what, most folks put a cap on gifts so when we do screw it up it’s just stupid, and not expensive as well.
I’m guessing it doesn’t work like that for the billion-dollar Carters, because Jay Z and Beyonce have enough money to buy each other just about anything, and judging by this story they do just that.
Everybody’s favorite mother of dragons, Emilia Clarke, covers the June/July issue of Harper’s Bazaar, and in it she lets go a juicy nugget about Hov and B: they’re Game Of Thrones dorks just like the rest of us. So much so that Jay actually purchased one of the original and official dragon eggs from the show for Bey, eggs that Clarke says are “really, really, really expensive and they are really f*cking heavy and serious works of art”. So, if you’re ever fortunate enough to set foot in Jay Z and Beyonce’s home, and are bold enough to kick your feet up on their coffee table, that might be a dragon egg sitting next to your shoes. Like, the real deal.
