Sfondiamoci di "Suburra", ci si rivede lunedì!

"Uscita di venerdì, è di quelle da nuove modalità di fruizione. C'è il weekend davanti e su Netftix, da ieri appunto, ci sono i dieci episodi di Suburra. Chi può e ci tiene parecchio può chiudersi in casa e ripresentarsi lunedì. Ma non è tutto qui, visto che il momento è a suo modo storico: Suburra. La sede è la prima produzione italiana di Netflix (ma ci sono anche Cattleya e Rai Action). È stata presentata al Festival di Venezia (con le ovvie alzate di sopracciglio del cinema ufficiale) e, per via della medesima produzione (Cattleya) e del contraltare romano a quello di Napoli, è il lato Capitale di Gomorra. Rispetto al film di due anni fa - diretto da Stefano Sollima e tratto dal libro di Giancarlo De Cataldo e Carlo Boni i - siamo in epoca appena precedente. Quindi è un prequel, l'impianto resta (Roma e i suoi poteri criminal intrecciati con politica, Vatican , ecc.), cambiano quasi tutti gli attori, quelli di richiamo sono Claudia Gerini e Filippo Nigro, i registi sono Michele Placido (i primi due episodi), Andrea Motaioli e Giuseppe Capotondi. Si rispetta lo spirito incalzante da serie tv: thriller, con fasi ultrapalpitanti, e storie classiche a base soprattutto di giovani che vogliono prendere il posto dei padri cambiando (ma rie sono capaci?) l'impianto criminate di Roma e forse del mondo e renderlo ancora più redditizio, cinico, senza il minimo riguardo. L'inizio è devastante, senza sconti: il protagonista di una gigantesca serata orgiastica si rivela essere un altissimo prelato. Da k ricatti a tutti e tutti sono violenti mentre diventa indistinguibile il grumo sanguinolento su cui convergono i borgatari, i politici con gli appalti, i preti con le loro finanze, i Sinti che vogliono spazio. E il centro rimane il terzetto di virgulti (Numero 8, Spadino e Lele), appartenenti a razze diverse ma uniti da un destino cl cui conoscono solo i codici di base, quasi animaleschi. Suburra, quindi, per un salto in avanti nelle mike riflessioni sul futuro di cinema e serie tv, ma anche con la scorciatoia, facile quanto appagante, di una storia che ti travolge e che diventa naturale seguire fino in fondo. NEWS - Mettete Franceschini nei nostri...canoni! Il canone "obbligatorio" Rai pagato anche da chi non ha la tv (tocca a chi non possiede la televisione sbattersi per dimostrarlo, ovviamente). E la Rai ci guadagna 420 milioni di euro in più (che gira per una bella parte a Fazio per invitare Franceschini e il suo ultimo libro...)

Inserire il canone Rai nella bolletta della luce è stato un successo sul piano della lotta all'evasione. Nel 2016 lo hanno pagato il 41% delle famiglie in più. Assicurando un incasso aggiuntivo, rispetto al 2015, di oltre 420 milioni. Finito per due terzi alla Rai (280 milioni), il resto all' erario. I furbetti del canone si sono ridotti così dal 36% al 10%. Rimanendo comunque tantissimi. Superiori ai 2 milioni e mezzo, secondo quanto emerge dalla Relazione sull' evasione, commissionata dal ministero dell' economia al gruppo di lavoro guidato dall' ex presidente Istat, Enrico Giovannini. Ma non è l' unica sorpresa. Incrociando dati Istat e dell' Agenzia delle entrate, salta fuori che 446 mila e 730 famiglie con ogni probabilità hanno pagato i 100 euro del canone nel 2016 (quest' anno sceso a 90 euro). Ma non dovevano farlo. Semplicemente perché non hanno la tv. Da una parte quindi, gli incalliti dell' evasione che riescono ancora a farla franca, aggirando persino gli automatismi del prelievo in bolletta. Grazie per lo più alle seconde case affittate in nero, visto che il canone è dovuto una sola volta, per chi possiede diversi immobili. A patto però che le seconde e terze abitazioni non siano destinate ad attività redditizie, dunque tassabili, come un bed&breakfast. Perché in questo caso il canone si deve ripagare. Dall'altra parte, ci sono gli ignari. Non hanno nemmeno una tv e non dovrebbero versare alcunché alla Rai. Ma non sanno o hanno dimenticato che il possesso dell' apparecchio si presume per legge in presenza di un' utenza elettrica: se hai la luce, hai anche un televisore. In caso contrario, tocca a te farlo presente. Altrimenti scatta il prelievo automatico. Il modulo per la "dichiarazione di non possesso" si trova pure online. Eppure oltre 400 mila famiglie non ha potuto o saputo inviarla. Pagando nella bolletta elettrica un sovrappiù non dovuto.

Il dato emerge confrontando l' indagine Istat sugli aspetti della vita quotidiana, laddove si stima che il 96% delle famiglie italiane (24 milioni e 512 mila) ha almeno una tv in casa. Mentre quasi 994 mila ne sono prive. Ebbene di queste solo 547 mila hanno dichiarato nel 2016 di non possedere televisori: dato ufficializzato nel maggio 2017 dall' ex direttore dell' Agenzia delle Entrate, Rossella Orlandi, in audizione al Parlamento. Quindi oltre 446 mila famiglie si sono dimenticate di farlo, per ignoranza o trascuratezza. Va anche detto che quella dell'Istat è un' indagine campionaria, dunque soggetta ad errori. Benché il campione (28 mila famiglie) sia ritenuto sufficientemente ampio e affidabile. Rai e Agenzia delle Entrate d'altro canto sono a conoscenza dello scostamento nel dato. E hanno affidato a un gruppo di esperti il compito di approfondire il caso. Se fosse così però, la televisione di Stato potrebbe aver incassato oltre 40 milioni di euro non dovuti. Mentre agli ignari pagatori non resterebbe che attivare la procedura di rimborso, sempre che si accorgano dell' errore. Quanto agli evasori, c' è ancora molta strada da fare. E oltre 250 milioni da recuperare.

More details from Kim Cattrall‘s interview with Piers Morgan about her Sex and the City co-stars have been revealed. If you missed it, it all started when rumors spread that Kim was being extremely demanding over the possibility of doing a third Sex and the City film. It was then revealed that a third movie was not going to happen and the show’s star, Sarah Jessica Parker, said she was disappointed by the news. In her interview with Piers, Kim slammed Sarah Jessica, and now she’s opening up even more about her side of the story with regards to co-stars Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, and Sarah Jessica.

“I’ve moved on, this is what my sixties are about, they’re about me making decisions for me not my career, for me. And that feels frickin fantastic,” Kim said. “But everything comes to an end and in closing one door another door opens and that door has been waiting for a long time.”

“And that’s another thing that’s really disappointing is that nobody ever picks up the phone and tries to contact you and say, ‘how you doing?’ That would have been the way to handle it,” Kim added. “And usually what happens in a healthy relationship is that someone, or a transaction for a job in my business, is that someone says, ‘are you available?’ and you say ‘yes’ and here’s the job and you say ‘yes but thank you very much but I’m sort of over here right now but thank you very much’ and that person turns to you and they say ‘that’s great, good luck to you, I wish you the best.’ That’s not what happened here, this is, it feels like a toxic relationship.”

“They all have children and I am ten years older and since specifically the series ended I have been spending most of my time outside of New York so I don’t see them,” Kim continued. “The common ground that we had was the series and the series is over.”

NEWS - Clamoroso al Cibali! "'The Walking Dead' può sopravvivere anche senza Rick!", Andrew Lincoln dixit

The Walking Dead is heading into its eighth season and its landmark 100th episode, still rolling strong and possibly pushing its cast to incredible lengths in order to tell the story of the world that follows the zombie apocalypse. While there’s a possible time jump coming this season, Andrew Lincoln things that only the start of the changes the series could bring about in its future and the next 100 episodes. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Lincoln details how he could see the show continuing on without Rick Grimes at some point. The magazine calls Lincoln the most “mentally, physically, and emotionally committed” actor you’d meet in his Walking Dead role, but that doesn’t mean the show hinges on him being around until the very end. Putting a period on the end of a performance is something Lincoln talks about during the chat: 

“I think that there’s an innate feeling and certainly in me that I love doing a play or doing the film because you get to put a period on the end of it and you get to do it nightly, which is really exciting. TV is different. The format is different because it is about sort of a continuum. But, you know, there is a sense to me that really needs some… it sounds like I’m in a shrink’s head, but there is a completion thing that I think I deserve for doing it for so long. And also probably the audience would like some completion…

“There’s only so many ways you can bend and stretch this and that. I’m not saying that the show would ever finish, but I certainly think that there’s an opportunity for the show to change at some point, and I think it should.”

For Lincoln, he doesn’t see Rick as the main narrative force in the series and the door is already open for his exit if the chooses to walk through it. That focus is Rick’s son, of course, growing up in this new world and experiencing all the beauty and horror it has to offer: 

“It’s beautifully set up for that — for the camera to be certainly his story, and then it just shifts off. If ever there was a landscape or an environment to do that, it’s our show. But whether or not that’s this season… well, you have to find out, don’t you?”

Chandler Riggs stepping into that Rick role in the show would be a tough pill to swallow for some fans, but Carl has certainly grown a bit since those early seasons. Also he’s supported by a great ensemble of characters that also seem to come and go, giving him a safety net of sorts for any sort of transition that could happen. That said, it probably shouldn’t be expected any time soon. Lincoln is the guy for now, with Scott Gilmple even jokingly talking about “year 20 or year 30” of the show being the point where the show moves on without him. But the belief from those on the show and creator Robert Kirkman is that Rick Grimes isn’t what drives The Walking Dead, even if he’s not walking into the sunset any time soon: 

“Andy is the leader of this show and his dedication to the show is absolutely inspiring,” he says. “Everyone just looks up to him and he’s a huge part of this show. But we have a very strong ensemble, and there’s a lot of characters that could carry the show. The Walking Dead is a story very much about a world and a bunch of people inhabiting that world.”

While this certainly feels like the latest worm on the hook to pull people in and make them ask, “will they do it?,” an actor wanting to go off and do other things isn’t a new or outrageous concept. Lincoln would have the luxury of choice coming from a massive success like The Walking Dead, so this type of conversation is good to put out in the open. Even if you’re not going to run off and do Shakespeare for the rest of your life, you want folks to know you could and things would be fine. We just hope they use his heroic ending if they do send him off. Make it count.

"Migliorerà il cinema (non ne sono sicuro), peggiorerà la tv (ne sono sicurissimo). A volte le buone intenzioni generano effetti perversi e questo temo sia l'esito ultimo del decreto per le quote tv. Che forse aveva un senso trent'anni fa, prima della rivoluzione digitale, ma che oggi pare solo una forma di protezionismo fuori tempo. I palinsesti tv, bene che vada, saranno riempiti da tutti quei film finanziati dallo Stato (sono tanti) che non riescono a essere distribuid nelle sale per quanto sono modesti. Nel corso degli anni Duemila, la serialità americana ha completamente trasformato lo scenario mediatico cancellando la distinzione fra cinema e tv, ha rotto confini geopolitici irridendo l'autarchia, ha indicato strade da percorrere. Che sono quelle di sviluppare al meglio i linguaggi e i modelli produttivi, di creare programmi «da vedere», rivedere e commentare, emblemi di una testualità che svolge oggi lo stesso ruolo della letteratura: sviluppare narrazioni complesse, rappresentare in modo articolato i grandi temi, coinvolgere a più livelli un pubblico popolare e insieme più colto. Questo bisognava chiedere al Servizio pubblico e ai film finanziati dalla Stato, pur sapendo che di Zalone ce n'è uno solo. In termini tecnici significa concentrarsi su un numero limitato di titoli sorretti però da grandi investimenti, da coinvolgimenti di personalità letterarie e cinematografiche nel ruolo di sceneggiatori e registi. L'Italia è pronta a questo salto, a entrare nella contemporaneità? Ci si salva con la qualità mai con la quantità: imporre in prima serata film e fiction italiane significa solo incentivare la modesta produzione attuale. A third Sex & the City movie is no longer on the table – and Kim Cattrall is the reason. The movie, which was greenlit by Warner Bros. and due to go into pre-production this month, has been shelved due to Kim‘s demands, according to DailyMailTV. Sarah Jessica Parker confirmed the cancellation in an interview with Extra on Thursday (September 28): ““It’s over…we’re not doing it. I’m disappointed. We had this beautiful, funny, heartbreaking, joyful, very relatable script and story. It’s not just disappointing that we don’t get to tell the story and have that experience, but more so for that audience that has been so vocal in wanting another movie.”

According to the report, Kim demanded that they produce other movies she was developing or she wouldn’t sign for the project. Warner Bros. refused, and so production was canceled. Sarah, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon were all reportedly on board to film the now-scrapped movie.

Ahead of the forthcoming Will & Grace revival, out this week, Debra Messing, Eric McCormack, Sean Hayes, and Megan Mullally joined co-creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan in conversation at the inaugural Tribeca TV Festival on Saturday night to talk about what it was like to come back and how their characters have evolved. “The only thing that I asked for was that Grace be a feminist,” said Messing. But other characters — *cough* Karen *cough* — won’t be as woke. When Mullally was asked if she wanted to change anything about her character, she answered simply: “No.”

For many of the actors, getting back into character took some time. McCormack and Messing have kept in touch since the show ended in 2006, so that helped. “We’ve maintained a sort of ongoing conversation that I think if we hadn’t this would have been a harder sandbox to jump back into,” McCormack said. “It’s been 11 years, and I think that I was a little tentative,” said Messing. “Eventually by the third episode I just sort of relaxed, and I was like, Okay, she’s back.” Hayes felt the same about returning to Jack. “There was so much response to the election video, and there’s so much now more than ever,” said Hayes. “But, you know, you don’t think about it when you go into work … You can only do the job you know how to do, and then it’s not up to you.” Describing the vibe on set, McCormack said, “We’re 11 years older, but on set we’re 11 years old. We are four idiotic children.” “Really naughty,” Messing added. Ahead: eight other things we learned about the reboot at the Tribeca TV panel.

Karen is friends with Donald and Melania Trump. “She’s down at Mar-a-Lago at lot with Donnie and Melania,” said Mullally. “I do love that line in the first episode, that Melania called me after one of her night terrors.”

Grace and Messing both went through a divorce. “Certainly, I feel Grace in my body differently because I’m 11 years older,” said Messing. “Grace went through a divorce, I went through a divorce.”

The show can do more around the characters’ sexuality this time around. McCormack said he doesn’t think the show got enough credit for Will’s sexual escapades back then. “There’s lots of episodes where I dated, and not just dated, I made out with Taye Diggs,” said McCormack. “People are always like, Oh, Will never had any sex. Will had lots of sex off-camera. It’s a sitcom. I’m not going to take my dick out. But in episode two, I take my dick out. It’s a whole new world.”

Messing added that the show will continue to reflect society as it is. “Back then, LGB, we stopped at B. And now 11 years later, the conversation has expanded. There’s T, A, I, and gender fluidity and there are all these things that are now finally being celebrated in our culture,” said Messing. “The thing we all committed to one another was that we’re going to be the show that we always were. We’re going to talk about what’s happening now.” Mullally agreed that there’s more leeway in what the show can cover. “When Will & Grace was on the air, at least for the first several seasons, there were no other shows that had gay characters. We were standing alone in that regard,” said Mullally. “Now, if you don’t have at least four gay characters, people are like, What’s this piece of shit?”

Expect guest appearances from Harry Connick Jr. and Bobby Cannavale. “We’re all going to date cool guest stars,” said McCormack. “That was always the fun of the show is who can we get that will bring out new things in these characters.” Shelley Morrison, who played Rosario, will not be appearing. “She’s retired from the biz,” said Mullally. There will also be tributes to Debbie Reynolds and Sydney Pollack.

McCormack thinks he looks too tan onscreen. “I was in Vancouver all summer. I’m George Hamilton up there.”

Jack has trademarked a new acting technique called “Jack-ting.”Hayes will be sharing acting tips in a web-extra series named “Just the Tips.”

Will and Grace will go into business together in the new series.“Grace Adler Designs has become quite a thing. And Will’s job as a lawyer, he’s doing as well as he can possibly do,” said McCormack. “He wakes up one day and realizes that I spent my [time] around lawyers and clients, and I want to do something that I love with someone I love. So Will and Grace go into business together. I’m not cutting cloth or anything. I’m still a lawyer, but I’m Grace’s lawyer. I think that’s going to create a lot of hilarity.”

The show is filmed with a live audience, so there’s no laugh track.

More than five and a half years after it first went off the air, “Chuck” continues to amass a devoted following. And though the show received a two-hour finale at the end of its fifth season, many are still clamoring for a movie. Zachary Levi addressed his hopes for getting such a project off the ground in an Entertainment Weekly interview, saying he’d “love to do it” but is “the only person who’s affiliated with the show that’s been trying to make it happen on some level.” Levi similarly told IndieWire’s Turn It On podcast this summer that he’s repeatedly been on the record about wanting to produce a “Chuck” film, and that he’s certain that one will eventually be produced:

“All the time [it comes up]. I’ve told everybody, since the show ended. I just don’t think information gets disseminated nearly as much as we think it does. I’ve been on record 50,000 times, I’m not even exaggerating — it’s probably 50,000, if not, it’s 49,872 times — saying I have every desire and intention to make a ‘Chuck’ movie.

“I just have to wait on the right time for it. Guys, I’ve said my peace about this. I’m totally on board. It’s just got to be a matter of the right time. That’s it. And the right time is going to depend on where technology has gotten to, we’re finally there. A lot of shows are being rebooted, so that all helps. And getting a script. I don’t even have a script. I haven’t even been available. There’s all these things. And then I gotta get money and go to Warner Bros., which still owns the rights.

“You can’t just go to some wealthy person and go, ‘Gimme $10 million we’re going to make a Chuck movie!’ There are so many friggin’ cooks in the kitchen, and lawyers, and blobbity blah. But I do believe wholeheartedly that there will be a day, a day and the timing will be right and we’ll have a script and we’ll have the money and the schedules will work out and it will be so fun. I’d love to give the fans and us more chapters of ‘Chuck.'”

He added in the podcast that he’d love to a “Chuck” movie every other year. “It was a perfect, goofy American ‘Bond.’ If James Bond can keep fighting random bad guys every few years then of course Chuck can!”

That’s what he said this summer. Now, here’s his full, comprehensive answer to EW on the question posed on the occasion of the show’s 10-year anniversary:

“I’ve had meetings with various people. There’s just so many moving parts. The answer is I’d love to still make it happen, even if it’s 10 years down the line. Because of the world, it could still be plausible. It’s just difficult. Warner Bros. has the rights to it, I don’t have a script. And in order to get the rights, I need to probably get a script, but in order to get the script, I need to pay a writer, but if I’ve got to find the money then in order to get the money, I need to make sure I have the rights. It’s like a Catch-44. [Laughs] I went to the whole cast years ago and said, ‘If I ever get a movie together, would you do it?’ And everyone was like, ‘We’re totally in.’

“A lot of people have asked if we could do another season and there’s no way we could do another season. But I think that Chuck as a premise totally works to go do movies here and there. It’s a goofy American Bond. We had our baddies of the week, we can have baddies of the movie. You add a little bit more money, a little bit more time, maybe go shoot in some actual international destinations, you make a fun 90-minute movie, and release it online. I think we can do that, but there’s a lot of moving parts and I’m the only one who’s trying to get all the moving parts together. So, we’ll see.”

Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally reunite on the cover of the latest issue of Parade, out on Sunday (September 24)! Here’s what the Will & Grace co-stars had to say:

Eric, on where the show picks up again:“Obviously, it’s 2017—lots of Instagram and Twitter jokes. It’s not the same as a bunch of 24-year-olds sitting around yakking.” 

Megan, on auditioning for the part of Grace: “They were like, ‘Next!’ I tried to make [Karen] just a little quirkier and added the ‘honeys,’ the tics and the laughing.”

Debra, on the late Debbie Reynolds, who played Grace’s mother: “She had a dirty mouth. You were convinced she was gonna moon people any second. She was outrageous!”

È seduto languido sul divano di un lussuoso albergo del centro di Londra, quasi irriconoscibile con il viso e la chioma curati. Già, la chioma. I riccioli neri sono leggendari. Su Internet hanno un seguito loro. Quando l'attore Liam Cunningham - in arte Davos Seaworth - scherza dicendo che «sul set meriterebbero un roulotte a parte», non ha tutti i torti.

È la realtà aumentata del Trono di Spade: sullo schermo sette casati si combattono per il potere, nella vita i fan farebbero carte false per un dettaglio in più, anche quando abitano nella Casa Bianca. Di fronte alla snervante attesa per la sesta serie, Barack Obama fece sapere che avrebbe con piacere accelerato i tempi. Fu l'unica persona al mondo a ottenerla in anticipo. Intanto la fine si avvicina: l'ottava serie sarà l'ultima. «Ci stiamo preparando a dire addio», ammette Kit Harington, che nell' universo parallelo dei Sette regni è Jon Snow. Si sistema i cuscini dietro la schiena. Incrocia le mani. «Trono di Spade è diventato una seconda famiglia», e alla famiglia si perdona tutto. I legami sono tanti, e non solo professionali. Anche nella vita il suo cuore appartiene a Rose Leslie, la Ygritte della serie. Stanno cercando casa insieme. Dove si trasferisce un uomo in grado di mettere in leggero subbuglio un albergo come il Claridge's? «Abbiamo pensato a diverse città, ci siamo lasciati affascinare per un attimo dall'idea di Los Angeles, ma vivremo a Londra. È la città dove sono cresciuto e che conosco come la mia pelle. È qui che mi sento a casa».

Quando la vita è scandita dai ritmi di riprese e ingaggi internazionali, il concetto di casa «diventa più fluido», ma bastano pochi talismani per creare un senso di stabilità. «Ho un orso polare di pietra, piccolino, che mi porto sempre dietro». Guardarlo, accarezzarlo è un toccasana in un mondo professionalmente frenetico.

La sua carriera è decollata senza eccessivi sforzi: quest' anno è diventato uno degli attori più pagati del piccolo schermo, con un cachet da 1,1 milioni di dollari ad episodio. Invece di fregarsi le mani soddisfatto, Harington sottolinea che anche questo può essere un problema: «Non voglio togliere nulla a me stesso, ho ottenuto le parti che ho ottenuto perché ho lavorato sodo, ma in questo mondo serve tanta fortuna e non ammetterlo sarebbe assurdo. Sono stato fortunato ad avere una parte in una pièce teatrale di grande successo (War Horse, al National Theatre) e fortunato con Trono di Spade. L'aspetto difficile è affrontare la paura che il successo non sia completamente meritato. Cerco di ricordare che mi sono impegnato, che non è stata solo la fortuna».

Il merito, aggiunge, è un concetto complicato: «Chi può dire cosa ci meritiamo davvero?». Bravo, bello, ricco e profondo? Ride. Sa prendersi in giro. I progetti non mancano. Nelle pause di Trono di Spade lo attendono una miniserie della Bbc sul tentativo di far saltare in aria la Camera dei Lord nel 1605, intitolata Gunpowder, e il film «Morte e vita di John F. Donavan», in cui interpreta il ruolo di una star gay falsamente accusata di pedofilia. In questo settembre è protagonista della campagna di The One for Men, il profumo maschile di Dolce e Gabbana, con un filmato ambientato in una piazza napoletana.

«Mi hanno fatto sorridere, evviva. Non mi capita spesso». Ha la battuta pronta. Si lascia stuzzicare. A parte il profumo, ha una routine di bellezza con la quale mantiene la pelle e la celebre chioma? «Quando sei un attore vendi la tua faccia. Sto attento, ma non attentissimo. E i capelli... chi poteva immaginare che sarebbero diventati così famosi?». Il concetto di mascolinità, spiega tornando serio, è cambiato: «Siamo fortunati, siamo uomini in un momento in cui agli uomini è permesso sperimentare. Nessuno ti prende per pazzo se ti metti un po' di matita sugli occhi».

Ciononostante, si guarda con difficoltà. Evita di vedere i suoi film più di una volta. «Per un attore è terribile rivedersi e soprattutto risentirsi. Ti attanagliano i dubbi. Sono un perfezionista, vedo subito le pecche. Credo sia normale. Anzi, direi che se sei un tipo che si guarda facilmente avresti bisogno di chiederti perché. Forse sei un po' narcisista».

Dal teatro, al cinema, alla televisione, Kit Harington si muove con facilità. «Se non faccio teatro mi manca, dopo tre mesi sul palcoscenico sono pronto per tornare davanti alla telecamera. Adesso che ho fatto tanta televisione mi manca l'intensità del teatro».

Un cerchio perfetto, nel quale ha cominciato ad apprezzare anche i periodi di vacanza. «Sto imparando a rilassarmi. Spero di non diventare troppo bravo a farlo». La madre professoressa universitaria, il padre organizzatore di eventi hanno avuto un duplice ruolo: all'inizio lo hanno incoraggiato, adesso lo riportano alla normalità. «La fama è un animale strano. Innesca una serie di cambiamenti quasi impercettibili nella tua vita, senza accorgetene arrivi a un punto sconcertante. Loro mi riportano alla normalità. Noi britannici siamo bravi a tenere i piedi per terra».

Forse, precisa, è anche per questo che ha deciso di stabilirsi a Londra. «Adesso la mia fama è al punto massimo, ma tra un po' tutto questo calerà». Professionalmente mira alto. Il traguardo è interpretare Enrico V al National. «Perché accontentarsi di sogni mediocri? Ho visto Adrian Lester in questo ruolo ed ho capito che è dove voglio arrivare anch' io». Trono di Spade gli mancherà: «È uno sceneggiato che ha occupato i miei vent' anni. Adesso ne ho trenta. Forse riuscirò a scrollarmi di dosso questa immagine, forse no. È possibile che questa sia la parte che dovevo fare e che non ci saranno ruoli paragonabili, ma non mi dispiace l' idea di diventare meno famoso, almeno per un po'».
