Pippi Calzelunghe ha compiuto 50 anni (la serie debuttava in Italia il 6 settembre del 1970 mentre sono passati 75 dall'uscita del libro). Per festeggiare le lentiggini più famose della tv, DeA Junior (Sky 623) proporrà una maratona: tutti gli episodi condensati in un fine settimana, quello del 5 e 6 settembre (dalle 13.05. Da lunedì 7 l'appuntamento sarà giornaliero). «Pippi non smette di piacere e so che negli anni ha fatto del bene a tanti bambini» racconta Inger Nilsson, che assieme al mito del suo personaggio è diventata grande. Oggi ha 61 anni e fa ancora l'attrice: «Mi divido tra teatro e tv, anche se in passato diversi registi mi hanno detto che non potevano scegliermi: per tutti ero Pippi. Lei, confessa, all'epoca si sentiva più simile alla mite Annika, l'amichetta del suo personaggio. «Pippi è un simbolo: insegna a non aver paura, ad essere se stessi e a lottare per quello in cui si crede. Per certi versi ricorda Greta Thunberg: anche lei è svedese, ha le trecce e non ha paura ad affrontare gli adulti». In Inghilterra stanno girando una nuova versione della serie. «Sono felice ma spero resti intatto il messaggio».

Sarà l'attrice australiana Elizabeth Debicki a interpretare il ruolo di Lady Diana nelle ultime due stagioni (la quinta e la sesta) della serie Netfiix The Crown. Lo ha annunciato la produzione della fortunata serie British sulla famiglia reale, secondo quanto riferisce il sito della Bbc, spiegando che la star australiana prenderà il posto di Emma Corrin. Debicki si unisce a Jonathan Pryce e Imelda Staunton a completare il cast per le ultime due stagioni della serie. «Lo spirito della principessa Diana, le sue parole e le sue azioni vivono nel cuore di tanti - ha detto l'elegante attrice - E un vero privilegio e un onore per me entrare a far parte di questa serie magistrale, che mi ha assolutamente affascinato fin dal primo episodio». Le ultime due stagioni della serie Netfiix sulla Corona britannica racconteranno la rottura del matrimonio della principessa Diana e del principe Carlo e la tragica morte di Lady D nel 1997, un momento che mise in crisi la famiglia reale.

Un colpo di spugna per il marchio Fox anche negli studi di produzione televisivi, dopo che la stessa cosa era già avvenuta in quelli cinematografici, tutti passati alla Disney nel marzo dello scorso anno. L'ultima mossa ha riguardato la 20th Century Fox Television che diventerà semplicemente 20th Television, mentre la Fox 21 Television Studios cambierà totalmente diventando Touchstone Television. Quest'ultimo è un brand noto al grande pubblico perché Disney lo ha utilizzato per molto tempo fino al 2007 per poi cambiare nome in Abc Studios. Dalle prossime stagioni dei Simpson, dei Griffin, American Dad, e di tutte le altre famose produzioni tv di questi studios, compariranno quindi i nuovi brand, un cambio epocale vista la storia di questi marchi. Soprattutto quelli cinematografici, già modificati a gennaio: la 20th Century Fox è diventata 20th Century Studios, mentre Fox Searchlight Pictures è rimasta semplicemente Searchlight Pictures. Sembra che il taglio della parola Fox fosse parte dell'accordo di vendita, una clausola voluta da Rupert Murdoch per evitare confusione soprattutto negli Usa, dove il magnate con la New Fox ha mantenuto la proprietà dei canali sportivi, di Fox News e Fox Business. D'altronde alla stessa Disney non spiacerà scostarsi da un marchio che è fortemente legato al suo proprietario e che sempre negli Usa ha un forte connotato politico. Nella Penisola già Italia Oggi aveva dato la notizia della chiusura nel novembre scorso della 20th Century Fox Italy, la casa di distribuzione cinematografica arrivata a Roma nella primavera del 1968. E recente invece l'incorporazione di Fox Networks Group Italy (l'ex Fox International Channels Italy) in The Walt Disney Company Italia: in pratica la società sotto la quale erano operati i canali televisivi è finita direttamente dentro la controllante. Si tratta in questo caso di operazioni di razionalizzazione, ma il risultato comunque è che anche nel nostro Paese il marchio Fox è quasi sparito. Restano i due canali trasmessi su Sky, Fox e Fox Crime, dopo un ridimensionamento partito sempre alla fine dello scorso anno che ha visto la chiusura di Fox Animation, Fox Comedy e questo giugno di Fox Life. Da vedere quindi se anche per questi ultimi due canali il futuro non riserverà un rebranding. L'acquisizione della 21St Century Fox da parte di Disney si è conclusa nel marzo 2019 dopo trattative durate parecchi mesi, un affare da 71,3 miliardi di dollari (62,8 miliardi di euro). Gli asset passati al gigante dell'intrattenimento americano hanno riguardato le attività di produzione cinematografica, tra le quali appunto la 20th Century Fox e Fox Searchlight Pictures e le società di produzione televisiva 20th Century Fox Television, FX Productions e Fox21. Disney aveva acquisito inoltre FX Networks, National Geographic Partners, Fox Sports Regional Networks (venduta poi per i limiti antitrust), i canali internazionali di Fox Networks, Star India e le partecipazioni in Hulu e Endemol tra le altre. Come detto nella nuova Fox Corporation Murdoch ha invece tenuti alcuni pezzi della vecchia Fox Corp. ovvero Fox News, Fox Sports e Fox Broadcasting.

Chucky, the villainous doll from the Child’s Play movie franchise, is getting his own television series on the USA Network and the teaser trailer was just released! The show will be airing on both USA and Syfy and the channels teased, “It’s an evil too great to play on just one network.” In the upcoming series, “a small town is terrorized by a string of murders following the appearance of a vintage Chucky doll at a yard sale. Friends and enemies from Chuck’s past may reveal the truth behind the killings and shed light on the doll’s ‘untold origins,’” according to EW. Jennifer Tilly has confirmed that she will be starring in the upcoming series, which is scheduled to premiere in 2021.

The creators of Glee – Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan – have paid a beautiful tribute to Naya Rivera, who died after a drowning accident this week.
In their statement, the three producers honored Naya‘s memory and have stated that they intend to start a college fund for her four-year-old son, Josey.
“We are heartbroken over the loss of our friend Naya Rivera,” their tribute starts. “Naya wasn’t a series regular when we cast her on Glee. She didn’t have more than a few lines in the pilot. But it didn’t take more than an episode or two for us to realize that we had lucked into finding one of the most talented, special stars we would ever have the pleasure of working with.”
It continues, “Naya could act, she could dance, and she could sing (could she ever sing!) She could nail a joke as well as she could crush you with an emotional scene. She could move between being scary tough and deeply vulnerable with ease. She was a joy to write for, a joy to direct and a joy to be around.”
“Naya is responsible for numerous iconic Glee musical performances- The Adele Mash Up, Valerie, Songbird- but her greatest Glee legacy is probably the humor and humanity that she brought to Santana’s relationship with her best friend and eventual girlfriend/wife Brittany (played by Heather Morris). It was one of the first times an openly lesbian, high school relationship was seen on network television and Naya understood what ‘Brittana’ meant to the many young women who were seeing themselves represented on television for the first time.”
“Naya always made sure that Santana’s love for Brittany was expressed with dignity, strength and with pure intentions. Naya was always moved by the girls who reached out to her to tell her how much Santana and Brittany’s love affected them. Naya’s obligation to them- and to all of her fans- was obvious. She had the rare combination of humility and endless confidence in her talent.”
The three went on, saying, “Naya was a real pro. Always on time, always knew her lines (which wasn’t easy considering the giant mouthfuls of dialogue we often gave her), always kept everyone laughing on the set. She was warm and caring and fiercely protective of the rest of the cast. She was tough and demanding. She was fun. She was kind. She was generous. There were ups and downs during the wonderful and stressful years we spent making Glee. We disagreed, we fought, we made up, then we fought some more, than we made up again. The kinds of things that happen in a family. Naya was more than just an actor on our show- she was our friend.”
The statement concluded, “Our hearts go out to her family, especially her mom, Yolanda, who was a big part of the Glee family and her son Josey. The three of us are currently in the process of creating a college fund for the beautiful son Naya loved most of all.”

Il cadavere dell'attrice di "Glee" Naya Rivera è stato ritrovato nel lago Piru della Southern California. Lo ha comunicato lo sceriffo della contea di Ventura che circa una settimana si occupa delle operazioni di ricerca. L'attrice era sparita l'8 luglio, dopo aver portato il figlio sul lago con una barca affittata. Il riconoscimento ufficiale non è ancora stato comunicato ma è stata convocata una conferenza stampa in serata per importanti comunicazioni. La svolta nella ricerca dell'attrice è arrivata qualche ora fa quando la polizia ha annunciato di avere un elemento fondamentale: si trattava di una foto che la stessa Naya Rivera aveva inviato alla famiglia. Nello scatto c'è il Josey, bimbo di quattro anni che si è salvato, e sullo sfondo si vedeva una insenatura che le autorità della Ventura County sono state in grado di localizzare. La foto era stata scattata al massimo un paio d'ore prima rispetto al ritrovamento del piccolo Josey che era solo sulla barca. Il bimbo disse alla polizia che sia lui che la mamma erano andati a nuotare ma che lei non era più risalita a bordo. Avendo perso ormai ogni speranza di ritrovare Naya viva, l'ufficio dello sceriffo aveva chiuso al pubblico il lago per impedire ai fan di condurre ricerche in proprio.
Some Twitter aren’t happy that some Glee stars have chosen to keep quiet as the search remains for Naya Rivera, who went missing last week after a lake trip in California.
Now, Amber Riley, Kevin McHale, and more have spoken out about why they chose to be silent while others have sent prayers and other comments about Naya.
“I haven’t seen not one of the GLEE CAST MEMBERS POST ABT NAYA EXCEPT FOR @HeatherMorrisTV AND @dotmariejones y’all a need to do better @LeaMichele @JennaUshkowitz @chriscolfer,” one Twitter user wrote, sparking the conversation of why they didn’t. Amber was one of the first to clap back at her own reason – because it’s not about her. It’s about Naya. “Show some respect. All our energy is going toward helping find Naya and praying for her safe return and for her family. No one owes anyone online a performance of grief,” she wrote. “This is very real and devastating. Focus on Naya and her family. Not us. We don’t matter right now.”
Fans also came to Chris Colfer‘s defense, who hadn’t posted anything about Naya’s disappearnce. One wrote, “I just want to tell you that you don’t owe us anything, we love you and we’re here to support you and your friends who are going through so much pain right now, I’m sorry if there are people who have made you feel like you can’t grieve at peace, we love you ❤” Years ago, Chris also opened up about how he personally mourned losing Cory Monteith, who passed away seven years ago tomorrow, and his statement is just as relevant right now.
Lea Michele has deactivated her Twitter account as of the time of this posting.
Her usual handle, @leamichele, now shows a deactivated account page with none of her previous tweets listed.
Fans are beginning to theorize why Lea may have made this move. It has been a tough couple of months for Lea after she was involved in a big controversy over her alleged on set behavior.
Lea‘s Glee co-star, Naya Rivera, has also been missing for several days after boating with her son Josey, 4, at Lake Piru in California.
In addition, Monday (July 13) is the anniversary of Lea‘s boyfriend Cory Monteith‘s tragic death back in 2013. His cause of death was later revealed to be due to heroin and alcohol.

Heather Morris is offering her help in the search for Naya Rivera. The 33-year-old Glee actress reached out the Venture County Sheriff’s department on Twitter on Saturday (July 11) to ask if there is anyway she can help as they search for Naya at Lake Piru after her disappearance. “My name is Heather Morris, I’m Nayas close friend and co-worker, and I’m trying to conduct an on foot search and rescue mission along with a small group of friends at Lake Piru,” Heather tweeted. “I understand your team is doing EVERYTHING in their power, but we are feeling helpless, powerless and want to help in any way. I have left a message with the department of Rescue and Air today, and I will call again tomorrow. Thank you” Three days ago, Naya went missing at the lake while on a boat trip with 4-year-old son Josey. Hours later, Josey was found asleep on the boat, and told authorities that he and his mom went swimming, but Naya never returned to the boat. On Friday night, the authorities gave an update and explained why they’re ruling out suicide as a possibility in the disappearance.

Eppure Glee verrà ricordato anche per l'ombra scura che l'ha sovrastato. Rivalità interne, relazioni e tradimenti, suicidi, morti accidentali sono avvenuti dietro quella facciata di sorrisi e successi. L'ultimo fatto tragico si sta svolgendo in queste ore, mentre la polizia della California cerca il corpo di Naya Rivera in un lago poco a nord di Los Angeles. La 33enne attrice, che nel programma interpretava la cheerleader Santana Lopez, aveva affittato una barca nel pomeriggio di mercoledì, insieme al figlio di quattro anni, Josey. Circa tre ore più tardi un altro turista ha notato la barca che galleggiava, con dentro solo il bambino, addormentato. Il piccolo, che indossava il giubbotto salvagente, ha detto: «La mamma è andata a nuotare, ma non è ancora tornata». Le ricerche sono cominciate immediatamente, sia con squadre di sub che con elicotteri e droni. Ma sono state interrotte la sera, per l'oscurità, e riprese ieri mattina all'alba. «Un lago di queste dimensioni presenta molte difficoltà» ha spiegato il capitano Eric Buschow. Il lago si trova nel parco nazionale Los Padres, ed è una destinazione amata dai gitanti, ma negli anni ci sono stati vari incidenti, perché la gente sottovaluta la profondità e la temperatura fredda delle sue acque. 11 bambino è stato affidato al padre, l'attore Ryan Dorsey, che ne condivideva l'affidamento con Naya. La coppia aveva divorziato due anni fa, dopo quattro anni di matrimonio non esattamente di miele, tanto che Naya si è fatta qualche ora di carcere per aver colpito Ryan al volto durante una lite, nel 2017. La coppia si era unita in matrimonio nel giugno del 2014, nello stesso giorno in cui originariamente lei doveva volare a nozze con il suo precedente fidanzato, il cantante rap Big Sean. Invece l'attrice e il cantante si sono lasciati e Naya si è sposata con Ryan, un popolare attore televisivo. Nel frattempo però l'attrice aveva anche avuto una relazione con un collega sul set, l'attore Mark Sailing, che in GIee interpretava il personaggio di Puck, e che più tardi, ne12018, si è suicidato. Sailing era sotto inchiesta perché trovato in possesso di materiale pedopornografico. Sapeva che la sua carriera era finita e che lo aspettava quasi sicuramente una lunga pena detentiva. Il suo suicidio due anni fa e l'apparente morte di Naya per annegamento oggi, sono solo due delle ombre cupe che oscurano il nome di Glee. Nel 2013 il programma aveva perso il suo attore principale, Cory Monteith, che interpretava la parte di un giocatore di football che accetta a malavoglia di far parte del club musicale, il Glee appunto, della sua scuola. Nel 2013, poco prima che Glee cominciasse la quarta stagione, Monteith fu trovato morto per overdose di alcol ed eroina in un albergo di Vancouver. Ma lo stesso creatore del programma, Ryan Murphy, ha raccontato come sul set ci fossero spesso problemi. Nonostante l'immenso successo di pubblico, la conquista di ben due Golden Globe e la popolarità che ha baciato tutti i suoi interpreti, sul set non sono mancate tensioni, soprattutto fra l'attrice Lea Michele e Naya: se i personaggi interpretati dalle due attrici erano in contrasto nella commedia, non fingevano, perché lo erano anche nella vita reale. A sentire Murphy, poi, gli attori andavano a letto, si lasciavano e si ritrovavano con grande facilità, creando gelosie e contrasti nella piccola troupe. Ieri tuttavia numerosi ex membri del cast del programma, incluso la nota cantante Demi Lovato, hanno espresso la loro speranza che Naya venga ritrovata sana e salva.
