NEWS - Matrimonio telefonato: Telecom porta all'altare Google per far crescere TimVision nella tv on demand

"Io nuova Bond girl? Voglio essere 007!". Se vabbhe, intanto fai "Baywatch" vah...

News tratta da "Entertainment Weekly"
Even before the premiere of Spectre in November, rumors were swirling about who might be the next person to play 007 — or one of the spy’s many love interests. One of the names that’s been bandied about is Quantico star Priyanka Chopra, but in a new interview with Complex for the magazine’s latest cover story, she revealed that she has no interest in being considered for a role as a Bond girl.
“I get that all the time,” she told Complex. “But f— that — I wanna be Bond.”
In the wide-ranging interview, Chopra also said that she’s excited for her part in the upcoming Baywatch movie, adding that her role as the bad guy was originally written for a man.
Chopra stars as the icy Victoria Leeds in Baywatch (out May 19, 2017) alongside Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron, and earlier this year, Chopra spoke to EW about her villainous ambitions on the Oscars red carpet. “I wanted to play a bad guy for a really long time,” she said at the time. “And I’m doing that in Baywatch, so I’m excited.”

NEWS - Lexa forever!

Amid a year of television in which LGBTQ characters have been killed off in several series, fans and critics alike have had enough of the senseless deaths. They deserve better. That was the motivation for YouTuber fearlessummer, who compiled together the many tragic deaths of gay characters on TV and film — not only from this year, but from several years of the repeated trope.
The video was prompted by the controversial death of Lexa, a lesbian character played by Alycia Debnam-Carey, in the CW's The 100, according to the YouTube video's description. Lexa begins the montage, but it includes several characters from other series and films, including Tara (Amber Benson) in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Tricia (Madeline Brewer) in Orange Is the New Black and Laurel Hester (Julianne Moore) in Freeheld. Along with the many gay characters, the video features voiceover from fellow Youtuber Moog Ferlita, who expressed their own disappointment in Lexa's death.
While it is an indicting and oft-repeated issue, the good news is some people in the industry are listening. In April, several TV writers and producers signed the "Lexa Pledge," which includes seven principles they pledge to adhere to with regard to LGBTQ characters on TV. Most importantly, that included promising not to kill off gay characters simply to further the plot of a straight one.
Still, while the "Lexa Pledge" is a good start, TV series and films are going to have to demonstrate these tenants in action before we can formally label any progress ma. If not, such heart-wrenching montages could be all the more frequent — and rightfully so.

GOSSIP - Il (vero) mistero di "Blindspot": Sullivan Stapleton è fidanzato o no?

With Baywatch set to hit the big screen one year from today (May 19, 2017),  Paramount Pictures has today released a special Baywatch postcard that offers a look at the film’s cast. From left to right, the Baywatch team includes Jon Bass, Alexandra Daddario, Zac Efron, Dwayne Johnson, Kelly Rohrbach and Ilfenesh Hadera. Check out the full version of the Baywatch postcard in the gallery viewer below!
Also starring Priyanka Chopra and Hannibal Buress, Baywatch offers a big-screen take on the television series that originally premiered on NBC in 1989. The original Baywatch cast included David Hasselhoff, Parker Stevenson, Shawn Weatherly, Billy Warlock, Erika Eleniak, Peter Phelps, Brandon Call and Holly Gagnier. The series was initially not a success and was cancelled after a single season. Plans were made, however, to move Baywatch into first-run syndication and, in 1991, Baywatch returned to the airwaves where it continued for a full decade, bringing in new cast members like Yasmine Bleeth and Pamela Anderson. The show also received a short-lived spinoff, Baywatch Hawaii.
This Baywatch postcard follows a steady stream of on set photography that has been shared by the film’s cast. You can check out previously-revealed shots from the R-rated comedy feature by scrolling through the gallery viewer.
Although several writers have been attached to the Baywatch movie, the most recent draft hails from the Friday the 13th pair of Damian Shannon and Mark Swift. Horrible Bosses and Identity Thief director Seth Gordon is helming the new Baywatch film, which is being produced by Dwayne Jonson alongside Michael Berk, Greg Bonann, Beau Flynn, Dany Garcia, Ivan Reitman and Douglas Schwartz.

NEWS - UE', Netflix!

NEWS - Niente sesso, siamo inglesi telefilmaddicted!

1. Game of Thrones - 33 per cento
2. X-Files - 29 per cento
3. The Walking Dead - 27 per cento
4. Friends - 23 per cento
5. Making a Murderer- il 20 per cento
6. Breaking Bad- 16 per cento
7. 24 -16 per cento
8. Soprano - 14 per cento
9. Father Ted - il 14 per cento

Aside from the occasional "are you still watching?" notifications, Netflix users enjoy a seamless binge-watching TV and movie experience without interruption. Not having commercials to deal with is certainly a great perk, but just how much time was being saved by skipping them had never been quantified. Well, until now.
Streaming blog Cord Cutting decided to calculate how many hours of commercial time is avoided by a Netflix user each year, as opposed to a cable TV watcher, and the results are pretty substantial. By comparison, Netflix saves its users around six days a year that would be spent watching commercials.
To calculate this, the blog took the 125 million hours of Netflix content its users stream per day and divided it between its 75 million subscriber base. (A typical user, then, would watch roughly 1.67 hours of Netflix content per day.) These numbers were compared with Nielsen data, which showed how many minutes of commercials were shown on traditional TV within a one-hour period. "So each subscriber saves him or herself about 160 hours of commercials per year by streaming their content through Netflix," the post reads. "To put that in perspective, the average American work week is 34.4 hours. Netflix is saving its subscribers 4.6 work weeks' worth of commercials each year."
While this notion is exciting for subscribers of Netflix and similar streaming services, it's a massive concern for advertisers who are losing traditional commercial spots. Just last month, it was announced Saturday Night Live would cut its commercials by 30%, leaving more room for skits.
As for Netflix users, keeping up such a torrid, commercial-free pace could be quite beneficial in the long run. As the A.V. Club notes, watching that amount of Netflix for 80 years would essentially save you a year of your life that could be spent viewing commercials on TV. Or, you could just go outdoors ... but that's a daunting task.
