Shannon Purser opened up about her sexuality last week on Twitter and now she is coming out to fans as bisexual. The 19-year-old Riverdale actress wrote a powerful message to her fans in which she talked about coming out to her friends and family, and also apologized to fans who might have been offended by a recent tweet she wrote. “I don’t normally do this, but I figure now is as good a time as any to get personal,” Shannon wrote in the note. “I’ve only just recently come out as bisexual to my family and friends. It’s something I am still processing and trying to understand and I don’t like talking about it too much. I’m very very new to the LGBT community. ”Shannon, who played Barb on Stranger Things, responded to fans who accused her of “queerbaiting” after she wrote a tweet about Riverdale viewers who “ship” the relationship between Betty and Veronica.
