NEWS - Ecco perchè "Krypton" sarà "una specie di 'Game of Thrones' nello spazio"...
News tratta da "Uproxx"
You’d think the idea of hanging around a superhero’s home turf before they were a hero would sound boring. Then Gotham
came along and reminded us that in the right hands, nothing is boring,
especially when your network will let you get away with blowing up
characters with a rocket launcher. So now the long-rumored Krypton is finally getting a shot, or at least a pilot.
We’ve known a pilot was coming for a while, but it appears that SyFy
is planning to take the show to series. The plot follows the House of
El, two generations before Jor-El fires his baby into space, as they’re
unjustly disgraced and attempt to return to prominence. In other words,
it’s Game of Thrones, but probably less violent and in space. They’ve already locked in a showrunner, Sleepy Hollow‘s Damian Kindler, and even though Supergirl is struggling with CBS, it seems likely to return in some way. And, of course, Smallville kept up the Superman prequel business for a solid decade.
Of course, a pilot order and preparing for a series is not the same
thing as making a series. Still, there’s a lot of leeway here. Krypton
has been everything from a sterile, emotionless society in the hands of
John Byrne to a vibrant pulpy space adventure setting in the Silver Age.
If handled right, even Superman’s grandpa will be fun to watch.
Especially if they give him a rocket launcher.
