Maisie Williams of "GOT" shows some attitude on the cover of Dazed‘s Spring/Summer 2015 issue, out on newsstands on Thursday (April 9)!
Here’s what the 17-year-old actress had to share with the mag:
On being a role model: “Whether I like it or not, I’ve become influential to people. I don’t wanna be liked just because I’m pretty. That’s f–king boring, and I’m not that. Lots of young people in the industry try to play it cool, but it just makes them look like arrogant dickheads. I’d much rather be liked because people realize that I’m standing up for myself.”
On her generation: “People think we’re f–king stupid and we don’t know anything about anything. It’s really degrading. I get a lot of adults who are like, ‘You don’t know sh-t,’ and it’s like, ‘You don’t know sh-t. You have no idea what it’s like to be 17 years old.’”
On sexuality: "Sexuality in girls isn’t really explored as much as it should be. We’re quite cool with talking about sexuality in women or boys and men, but not girls. Everyone gets freaked out – it’s quite a taboo thing for girls to wanna have sex. Everyone’s like, ‘Oooh, we can’t talk about that!’ I think, as a girl growing up with that taboo, you feel wrong for meeting boys and stuff.”
