Broad City has never shied away from the subject of sex, whether it comes to the will they, won’t they one-sided chemistry of the two female leads (they won’t), casual sexual encounters, masturbation, or kink such as pegging or men dressing up as babies. So it only seems obvious that Comedy Central would pair up with the British adult retailer Lovehoney to produce a complete line of Broad City sex toys that Abbi and Ilana would be proud of. The specially branded line of merchandise features a complete pegging kit, naturally, as well as your garden variety selection of vibes and wands, a butt plug, and even a set of kegel balls to prepare your nature’s pocket for carrying your secret stash or anything else. But that’s not all! Ever the progressive minds, they’ve got a little something for the dudes too, including a masturbation ball and something called the “Respect Your Dick 10 Function Love Ring,” which is colorfully described as follows.
The Broad City Respect Your Dick love ring is some high class sh*t. While it treats your schlong to a sensational squeezing, it embraces your cojones too. And ‘cos sharing is caring, the bullet attachment zeroes in on her clit so you both have lift off.
Broad City returns on September 13, and as we previously reported the fourth season will be avoiding all mentions of a certain “orange person” which makes complete sense now because that would definitely be a turnoff.

It took more than 27 years for Twin Peaks to return to television. With the 18-episode followup season nearing the end of its run on Showtime, could there be another installment of David Lynch’s cult series? “It was always intended to be one season,” Showtime president and CEO David Nevins told Deadline at the Showtime TCA party. “A lot of people are speculating but there’s been zero contemplation, zero discussions other than fans asking me about it.” That said, “the door’s always open to David Lynch, whether that would lead to another season, I don’t know if he wants to do it,” said Showtime programming president Gary Levine, who was ABC’s executive on the original Twin Peaks series and played a key role in bringing the revival to Showtime. “This was a Herculean effort. I’m not sure if any director has ever done 18 hours in a row of a series… It’s remarkable what he achieved, fans are liking it and for me that’s what’s satisfying.” The 18-episode Twin Peaks sequel, which had a rocky three-year road to the small screen, was written by the original series’ creators Lynch and Mark Frost and entirely directed by Lynch, with Kyle MacLachlan reprising his role. It has been a modest linear ratings performer but has driven record Showtime streaming sign-ups.

(Aldo Grasso)

NEWS - Il trailer della 3° stagione di "Mr. Robot" omaggia la "Democrazia" (di Leonard Cohen)
It’s coming from the sorrow in the street
The holy places where the races meet
From the homicidal bitchin’
That goes down in every kitchen
To determine who will serve and who will eat
The holy places where the races meet
From the homicidal bitchin’
That goes down in every kitchen
To determine who will serve and who will eat
It’s coming to America first
The cradle of the best and of the worst
It’s here they got the range
And the machinery for change
And it’s here they got the spiritual thirst
The cradle of the best and of the worst
It’s here they got the range
And the machinery for change
And it’s here they got the spiritual thirst
I’m sentimental, if you know what I mean
I love the country but I can’t stand the scene
And I’m neither left or right
I’m just staying home tonight
Getting lost in that hopeless little screen
I love the country but I can’t stand the scene
And I’m neither left or right
I’m just staying home tonight
Getting lost in that hopeless little screen
From the wars against disorder
From the sirens night and day

The 32-year-old actress was committed to The Walking Dead and AMC wouldn’t let her join another series until her death on that show was made public.
Sonequa opened up about her gratitude for being on the show while joining cast members Jason Isaacs, James Frain, and Mary Chieffo, as well as executive producers like Alex Kurtzman at the 2017 TCA Summer Press Tour on Tuesday (August 1) in Beverly Hills, Calif.
“The honor is mine. The pleasure is mine. I feel that we are all running over—our cups are running over with gratitude and excitement,” Sonequa said about being the first minority female to be a lead on a Star Trek show (via E! News). “We’re bursting at the seams from the weight of it and the breadth of it. We just—we couldn’t be more thrilled to share this journey with you because we understand its significance. We know we’re telling a story we believe in. Everybody is so passionate…This is an epicly grand, yet microscopically tuned, deeply emotional story. We don’t take it for granted. We don’t take it lightly. I certainly don’t. I feel like—it’s a dream to be able to be a part of history. It’s a dream. So, thank you.”

Netflix and loss aren’t words that appear together in many stories about the streaming giant. The platform is constantly buzzing in coverage online, has a string of hits on its fairly young roster of shows, and might be one of the only platforms to surprise people when a show is canceled. This practice is changing, of course, and there could be a good reason for it according to the LA Times. In their pursuit of more subscribers and quality original programming, the streamer has accrued a long-term and short-term debt that totals $20.54 billion. And while the company can tout “104 million subscribers worldwide,” they’re still hoping for more to keep the wheels turning and investors happy:

The company is pouring money into expensive prestige projects and expects to spend at least $6 billion in content this year. Its net cash outflow this year is forecast to grow to as much as $2.5 billion, up from $1.7 billion last year. Reflecting its growth, Netflix recently moved its Southern California headquarters into a 14-story building in Hollywood. So far, investors have expressed approval of Netflix’s spendthrift ways. They are betting that debt financing in the near term will create growth and yield big results down the road on the theory that you have to spend money to make money.
The LA Times shows that the company’s stock is up 50% for the year, but that some experts feel that Netflix’s bubble could burst due to their inevitable stagnation in their growth. That’s not to say that it is on the horizon for Netflix or that the company is in trouble. It does mean that there is a risk that the clock could run out and the debt becomes heavier and heavier. The company doesn’t seem too worried at the moment, though, and is keeping positive about their future prospects:
“That’s a lot of capital up front, and then you get a payout over many years,” Chief Executive Reed Hastings said in a recent investor call. “The irony is the faster that we grow and the faster we grow the owned originals, the more drawn on free cash flow that we’ll be.”As a result, Netflix said it expects “to be free-cash-flow negative for many years,” meaning it will continue bleeding cash for the foreseeable future.
Bleeding cash is a wild way to put it, but Netflix’s biggest issue isn’t the money it is spending on original programs. Luring subscribers to the service via interesting shows they can’t get anywhere else is great, but there are still plenty of people signing on to binge shows that aren’t part of the Netflix family. And even then, some of those shows are licensed according to the LA Times. The streamer doesn’t fully own Orange Is The New Black, House Of Cards, The Crown, or its offerings from Marvel, so it has to pay to license them. Also, as we’ve seen with several shows from major networks, the platform could start losing more pieces to deals that end or will see prices go up as networks build their own streaming services to try and compete. Not to mention that Hulu, one of Netflix’s main competitors, is owned by three of the major networks and already has exclusive deals on programming that was lost on Netflix.
It’s certainly not a new model and Netflix seems poised to grow while running with a hefty debt. The LA Times reports that the company’s long-term debt level was at half a billion dollars four years ago and “has more than doubled to $4.84 billion” in the past year. Some experts say the company’s stocks will need a reevaluation in the coming years and some of the numbers may be inflated, while executives say their competitors are running with similar debt levels. Almost a “nature of the beast” argument, which is true when looking at Amazon Prime and its programming.
But as the LA Times points out, Netflix doesn’t have a major commerce operation backing it up to create “ample free cash flow.” It also doesn’t show signs of slowing up, an admirable move to either reach for the stars or burn up after flying too close to the Sun. It’ll be interesting to watch where Netflix goes in the future and if they’ll be able to climb to the level they’ve set their goals for. It seems weird to think there could be a day where Netflix is in trouble, but it could happen.
Right now, they’re not too worried it seems.

NEWS - Dalle stalle (di "TWD") alle stelle! Sonequa Martin-Green nella prima cover di "Star Trek: Discovery"
Sonequa Martin-Green is front and center on the cover of Entertainment Weekly‘s new issue, highlighting the stars of the new CBS All Access series Star Trek: Discovery! The 32-year-old actress, best known for her work on The Walking Dead, is the first black female lead in Star Trek history. Sonequa was joined on the cover by her co-stars Doug Jones, Anthony Rapp, and Mary Wiseman. Showrunner Bryan Fuller opened up about the diverse casting for the new series. “I couldn’t stop thinking about how many black people were inspired by seeing Nichelle Nichols on the bridge of the ship,” he said. “I couldn’t stop thinking about how many Asian people were inspired by seeing George Takei and feeling that gave them hope for their place in the future. I wanted to be part of that representation for a new era.”

(Aldo Grasso)

Game of Thrones might have taught us about the perils of ruling, but since we doubt our bannermen will ever name us king or queen we’ll never be able to apply those lessons. Fortunately the show has also offered information we can actually use, like how we should never give up on the gravy when making a meat pie, or why it’s worth the effort to brown the butter first when making a crust. And we’re not the only one taking those cooking tips to heart, since Hot Pie himself as opened his own bakery selling his famous direwolf breads. Actor Ben Hawkey’s new business, which we learned about at HYPEBEAST, sells great looking direwolf breads, like the ones he made for Arya (not the first one, that looked like a brown marshmallow). And because any and all things related to Game of Thrones must be given a pun name, he calls his new bakery “You Know Nothing Jon Dough.” The breads, “made from wholewheat cornbread with orange zest,” are sold exclusively through the UK food delivery service Deliveroo, and cost 1 Euro each (about $1.16 American). However there’s some bad news, because even though they just went on sale this month to coincide with the show’s season seven premiere, they are already not accepting orders. Our guess is they’ve been such a hit with fans they can’t keep up with demand. Which is totally understandable, because we’re always hungry for anything Game of Thrones related, and when it comes to seeing Hot Pie’s food we mean that literally. However, we demand these be sold in America right now. Hot Pie is the best, and we’re jealous watching other people enjoy his food.
